Unexpected Love

Chapter 34

*Sammy's POV*
When Cassie walked out of her house into the backyard wearing her bikini, I couldn't help but check her out. She was so cute and hot in every way possible. I wrap my arms around her and quickly grab her legs to throw her in the pool. Her reaction is priceless when she pops her head out of the water. After a while, she tries to chase me, but Johnson nearly saves my life. Gotta love this dude.

While everyone is just chillin', Shawn and Nate are cooking things on the grill. Ella's arms are wrapped around Shawn while he is cooking and they just look so happy. They so adorable. I look to my right and see Johnson, Kenny, Cassie and Carter hanging out by the fire pit. Everyone else is just in the pool. I walk over to Cassie.

*Cassie's POV*
While everyone is doing their own thing, Kenny, Johnson, Carter and I are sitting at the fire pit telling each other old stories. I look up and see that Sammy is walking over to us. He walks behind me and puts his chin on my shoulder with his arms wrapped around my waist. Ella walks over to us and grabs my phone to take a selfie Before she could take one, ALL of the guys quickly joined. Sammy, Johnson, Kenny, Nate, Nash, Hayes, Shawn, Aaron, Carter, Taylor and Matt. I love these people. After Ella takes the picture, I edit it to post it on Instagram.

"CASSIELEIGH: everyone needs best friends and I've found mine❤."

Soon Shawn and Nate are finished making us food.

"FOOOOOD."

I look down at my plate and see that they made our plates for us. Such gentlemen. Shawn made the hotdogs and steak while Nate made asparagus and potatoes.

An hour later we were all stuffed and thank the guys for making an amazing dinner. Everyone except Sammy, Shawn and Ella went home. We all took our showers and decided to watch Netflix. For some reason I was really tired. Shawn chose to watch "The Amber Alert." Halfway in to the movie, I slowly fall asleep.

I wake up to the sound of a camera click. I see that it's my mom.

"HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY CASS."

I smile at the thought of me being 18 and finally a legal adult. Emily runs up to me and gives me a big hug. She squeezes me really tight and hands me a present.

"Emmy, you didn't have to give me a present."

"Yes I did sissy."

I open it to see a sister necklace and a drawing/card. I feel a tear run down my face because my little sister is so sweet. The drawing is of my mom, Emily and I. On the card it says:

"Dear sissy, happy 18th birthday. Your'e getting old. I love you to the moon and backk. Thank you for beinggg the best oldestst sister ever.
Love, Emmy."

"Aw, Emily, I love you so much. Thank you."

My mom hands me her gift and it feels really heavy. I open it to see a Polaroid camera, a IPhone 6+, and a picture frame of the picture I posted last night with everyone.

"Mom, I love you so flipping much. Thank you for giving me this. I don't need it, but I'll accept it."

"Your welcome sweetie."

I go upstairs to find a shirtless Sammy in my room. I hide my face because I didn't want him to see me checking him out.

"Happy Birthday Goofball, I love you."
"Thank you Dumbo, I love you too."

I then feel a soft pair of lips go onto mine. This is the best birthday so far.
