Alec~*
I groaned as I woke up and strecthed a little bit. I felt an arm around my waist as I tried to sit up from the couch. I looked over to find Alicia curled up into my side. I smiled and relished the moment. There were so many of these moments when we were together. I loved to watch her sleep. Her slightly chubby cheeks would be slightly pink and her pink lips would be parted ever so slightly as she breathed in and out.
I sighed and run my hands through her hair momentarily not caring that we were no longer together or that she was being targeted by Cole. In that moment she was just Lacy; AJ's mom and my first love.
She was beautiful. She always was. And she was always so passionate about everything she did. God she had heart. Everything she did was with others in mind.I just smiled as she snuggled more into my side. I knew as soon as she woke up we'd be back to just being friendly co-parents. I know that's what she wants at this point. After all the pain I've caused her I don't blame her. I should be thankful that she's even letting me see AJ. And as much as she's giving me, there's a selfish side of me that wants more.
I want her. I want her again.
It's a slippery and dangerous slope but I wanted her back, and I'll be damned if I don't at least go for it.
I felt her stir and groan as she awoke. I removed my hand from her hair and scooted slightly as she sat up from her permission.
Her hair was a mess and her blue eyes were slightly hazy from the sleep but she was still beautiful to me.
Lacy stretched and yawned before meeting my gaze. "Sorry about falling asleep on you there."
I shrugged. "It's okay. But I did forget how much you love to cuddle." I teased.
She grinned sheepishly at me. "Some things don't changed huh?"
I gave her a sincere smile. "No Lacy, some things don't change."

Back at the office I was in the middle of looking over cases when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in." I respond without looking up.
I heard the door open and close. When I heard the lock clicked into place I looked up. My eyes narrowed in anger to see Cole standing there. I kept my cool and let my face become blank. I couldn't let him know he affected me; he fed off the reactions he caused.
"You need something?" I asked in a bored tone, "I'm a little busy here."
He smirked at me and sat in one of the chairs across from my desk. He wore a tailored suit and a watch that probably cost as much as my rent. If i didn't know any better I'd think he was a business man who was successful in what he did. But I knew he was nothing but scum.
"I'm here to discuss Alicia's situation with you actually Alec." The smirk on his face never strayed as he gauged my reaction.
As much as I wanted to lay him out, I held in my anger. I couldn't let him control my emotions.
"What about it? She only has two weeks left before you leave her alone." my tone remained bored as I spoke. I could see the annoyance in his eyes that he wasn't getting to me.
"How would you like to end it sooner?" Cole began to mess with the picture of AJ on my desk. He looked at it and grinned. "I mean, it must suck having to keep your boy locked away at your parents house."
That certainly got a reaction out of me. I shot up from my seat and made my way around the desk to grab him by his collar. "You leave my son out of this you bastard."
He kept that stupid smirk of his on his face and put down the frame. He held his hands up as if in surrender. "Don't worry. I won't go near your son. Besides I know your mother is quite the shot; I'd be a dead man walking onto that property. This deal is about you."
I let his collar go but stood rooted in his face. "What about me?"
He fixed his collar and looked at me, his face suddenly serious. "My men told me about your impressive fighting skills. You took down four of my best men and that's not easy. I want you to fight for me tomorrow night."
I blinked in surprise. "Excuse me?"
"I want you to fight for me tomorrow night. Four rounds of street fighting. No weapons, no jumping. Just clean cut underground fighting. If you make it all four rounds I'll leave you and your families alone."
"What are you getting out of this Cole?" I demanded. There was no way he was doing this without getting some kind of prize.
"I'm getting $75,000. That's what I'm getting."
I nodded. If I could, I would most certainly give him the damn money. But that would mean dipping into company funds, and I would never do that.
"If I fight tomorrow and win, you'll leave Alicia alone for good?" I ask making sure the terms are clear.
"You have my word. You know I always make good on my word." Cole gave me an evil grin and held out his hands.
I eyed the hand for a second. "Once this is over, I never want to catch a whiff of you ever again. If I even think you're anywhere near me or my family, I will put a bullet through your head. Do you understand me?"
Cole kept grinning like the creepy bastard he is. "Of course Alec. Make sure you're a quick a shot as your mother if you're going to dish out threats like that though."
I clasped his hand in a firm and warning grip. "Who do you think taught me to shoot?"
