NOW LET THE GAMES BEGIN

Alicia ~*
I sighed as I threw out the last of the glass of the glass shards. It was the third time since I've been staying with Alec that his apartment was broken into. It's been a month since the incident at the firm and I was growing tired of these games. Just two more weeks and the deal would be over with. Alec and I were getting along fine in the apartment. We slept in seperate bedrooms (thankfully) and made sure that we kept a weapon the rooms we slept in.
I use the word sleep lightly because I havent been getting any. I was worried about everyone I had put in danger. AJ was having a great time with Alec's parents on their estate. I saw him nearly everyday since Daisy would come to the office with him. She gave me sympathetic looks whenever she saw the bags under my eyes. No amount of make-up could hide the worry on my face.
Alec's parents knew the situation and were more than understanding about not going to the police when they heard who was involved. Alec's father Henry used to work for the FBI. He was high ranking and only retired when he realized how many leaks and traitors were bred there. Cole had bribed too many agents, so Henry left.
I shook my head straightening up the living room table and chairs. How could a son of a bitch like Cole even have the feds under his thumb. I mean I know his father was a big time mob boss but Jesus, the Feds? Wasn't I supposed to count of these people to do good things for this country to keep it safe? Not watch them run like little bitches when a few mobsters got in their face.
Once I finished cleaning up the mess I showered and laid down on the couch in my sweats and sports bra. I had taken today off since I wasn't to be handling any cases until Monday. It gave me three days to just relax at home-well Alec's home- and go over the cases at my leisure. I had studied the cases and had deals prepared that wouldn't drag me into a court room. I hated going to court. It was time consuming, resource consuming, and just plain annoying. I had a short temper so court and a usually very jerk-like judge would leave me in contempt of court.
I closed my eyes, promising myself it would only be for a few minutes, since I wanted to cook dinner for Alec and I. Ever since I had been dealing with Cole, I've been eating take-out and weeks old leftovers. Don't get me wrong, left overs are my favorite, but I needed a freshly cooked meal or I would keel over.
I sighed and relaxed into the plush couch. Alec had a nice loft filled with comfortable furniture. It was modern with greys and blue hues painted everywhere. The appliances and hardware on everything was stainless steal and lord was the place huge. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms and stairs that led to a small but comfortable office space. Not to mention the colossal size of the living room. I could probably fit my whole apartment in just this room. And the view was amazing. His loft had a full wall (huge wall) of floor to ceiling windows. It was a dream of mine to have that in my house or apartment. You could see the river from here on the top floor. I could see the George Washington Bridge. It was a little far but at night when it lit up, it was beautiful.
As I relaxed more and more into the couch I couldn't help but feel all the drowsiness from the last month take over. Even tho it was only 12 pm, I felt like I could sleep for days.
