Lucas's POV-

"We're here". Smiled my uncle ,Yes,My uncle had picked me up to take me to Texas.

" Great. " I grinned. It was great to see some of my family that were in Texas,Although I did miss Maya and my mum dreadfully I was happy slightly that I could at least see some of my family members I haven't seen since I was a little boy.

"Haha,Yeah!" Said my uncle,Playfully messing up my hair.
I sighed But laughed it off,As I fixed my hair the way it was originally, I hated it when people messed with my hair,Only Maya could do that.

"So,Can I see the family now then?" I asked Eagerly, Awaiting for him to reply to me.

"Of course ya can ,Lad." My uncle grinned at me. "But first of all,Your going to have to unpack all of your things,Then ring up your mum and...,Is it Maya?"

"Yes." I nodded with a smile on my face. "It's Maya--- Maya Hart,Actually."

"Ah,Is this Maya your friend or...Girlfriend?" Said my uncle,Wiggling his eyebrows up and down Causing me to burst our laughing.

"Uncle!" I said,My mouth hung open.
But after a moment or two,A smile slowly crept onto my face. "Yes..." I said slowly. "She's my girlfriend." I grinned.

"Ah,That's my boy." He laughed. "She'll be needing luck with you as a boyfriend."

"What??Why!!!" I said ,Scowling at him,As I avoided eye contact with him,What on earth was he talking about?

"Well ,When you were younger lad,You were a right Rebel,Your not still a rebel now are ya?" He laughed,Scratching his head slightly.

"Uh...I guess so?" I laughed Nervously, I didn't know how to respond to this. Ever since I had left Texas,I had liked to think that I had changed tremendously, I was no longer that 'Naughty' kid who everyone could get him wound up easily.
I wasn't that sort of guy anymore.
But I did still have Texas parts of me,I couldn't deny that.Texas was in my blood.

He glanced at me and burst out laughing. "Once a Texas boy,Always a Texas boy."

I raised my eyebrows at that. "What do you mean about that?"

"Well,You see----Most of us Friar's do have a rebellious side to us,And you've been just lucky enough to get it." Said my uncle.

"Lucky?" I said slowly,I couldn't get to grips with any of this. I guess it was Since everything in my life was happening so fast,It frightened me kinda,I hated changes.

"Yes,Lucky." He nodded at me,But by the way his facial expressions changed quite fast I had figured he had knew something was up with me,And the way I was acting."Is something up,Sonny-Lad?"

Sonny-Lad? I couldn't help but try not to laugh about that,But I kept my laughter hidden inside of me.
"No,Not at all."

"Tell me the truth, Lucas." He said with a serious expression placed onto his face.
This was the first time he had actually said my name correctly, Rather then calling me 'Sonny-Lad' or 'Lad' / 'Laddie' / 'Friar' ,And Probably more too.

"Fine." I murmured under my breath. "I just miss home a little,That's all. It's completely natural.
" ALL RIGHT? " I yelled ,I hated it when people would ask me questions like this.
And yes,I did sound a little rude with the way I replied but I was in no mood to care.
Especially not after the day I've had,I missed home,But hopefully my family over here,In Texas, Would understand.

"It's completely natural." He whispered softly. "Don't worry,Lucas."

I nodded. "Thanks." I mumbled to him, I had deeply regretted what I had said to him,Especially since he spoke to me with kindness,And tried to make me laugh every now and again.

"Your welcome,Lad." He smiled slightly at me. "Now,Shall I take you to your room so you can unpack?"

"Yes please." I smiled back at him ,I was glad that he was at least friendly towards me.

As we began walking I took a full glance at him to see what he looked like.
A bald patch on his head,He was quite skinny for a man of his age,A striped t-shirt,And some grey shorts.

He then caught me staring at his bald spot. "Don't worry. All Friar's get this bald spot eventually."

I gasped,I didn't want to get a bald spot when I was older. "Really?"

"Yes!" He said,Looking serious.

I said nothing and frowned.
"God,You should have seen the look on your face!" He bursted out laughing. "I'm only kidding."
"I'll tell you how I got my bald spot,Wanna hear the story kid?"

"Uh...sure." I quickly said.
Well ,This isn't weird at all,Talking about someone's bald spot is it?Note the sarcasm.

"Well,I did have ginger hair as a kid,And went I reached my Thirty's I dyed my hair blonde,But sadly it went Green instead of blonde so..." He muttered under his breath.

"So what did you do then?" I asked out of curiosity.

"I shaved it all off." He laughed slightly. "I didn't really want green hair,Especially since green isn't my colour, Is it lad?"

"I uh, guess not?" I laughed Nervously, Not really knowing what to say or do next.

[This actually happened in real life with the hair bit XD,My grand-dad dyed his hair when he was younger and that happened.xD]

My uncle soon came to a halt. "We're here." He soon pointed to a building. "You see that there?" I nodded. "Well,go inside there. As soon as you enter you'll see a woman there,About my age,Speak to her and explain who you are,And she'll give you a room." He smiled brightly at me."Now,While you do that I'm going to go see the bulls."

"Bulls?" I asked blankly,I couldn't remember Texas to well,Especially since I was little when I last visited. But I did want to see these bulls.

"Yes,Bulls." He spoke clearly to me."I'll explain later,Okay? Now go do as I said before,Alright kiddo?"

"Alright."
