I'm Not That Girl(Maya/Lucas/Riley)

Chapter 8. Italian? Italian.

Maya-

After all the trouble I had went through to get Lucas jealous,it didn't work.

A couple days later after that disaster day, Lucas and Riley became a couple.

Josh decided to stay a couple more days,and me..well I didn't know what to do anymore.

Josh himself,was single,like I.

Though I couldn't date him,One for the "Three age gap thing", and second because .........he spended most of his time in his home town,Philadelphia.

But I was determined to make Josh mine,I didn't want to be lonely... I wanted to be happy.
Lucas made me happy,But I guess Josh could always make me happy two.

" Yo,Josh",I smiled at him,"Do you know where Riley and Lucas are?"

"Yeah,There planning there first date for tonight", He smiled," They want you to come along with a date as well,Someone like Farkle an-"

"There's no way,in a hundred years,That I would EVER go out with Farkle", I replied back to him sternly," Will you go with me instead?"

"Maya,I'm three years older then you an-"

"At least pretend to be my date!", I begged him.

Josh Continuously looked lost in thought before he finally answered my question," Fine.I'll pretend"

I ran up to him and hugged him tight,"Thank you,So much!"

"So,Where are we all going for the 'First date' then?", I asked Josh,I hoped it wouldn't be to " Luxury".

Josh scratched his head Nervously and chuckled,"I-its uh apparently at this new pizza place which has just opened up,Well not exactly pizza place,But more or less Italian food."

"Italian food?", I asked him slowly,He nodded," Hmm..Well I do kinda like Italian food."

"Great!", Smiled Josh,He was probably thankful I wasn't making a fuss over eating Italian.

Josh's POV-

It took a lot to try and make Maya happy,But she was good fun to be around.

I couldn't help but think she liked Lucas,and not me,most of the time,But I was probably just Imagining all of it.

" Josh?",Said Maya Smiling at me,I smiled back at her,I just couldn't stop myself,"I'm going home to get ready but I'll meet you later?"

"Sure",I smiled at her," I'll go get ready myself."

"Great!", She hugged me one last time before she left,I unexpectedly hugged her back,Which was what she least expected.

While she left to get ready for tonight I was hoping to properly get to know Lucas,Just to make sure he was 'Boyfriend material' for Riley,I didn't want my niece getting messed around with.

I whipped out my phone from my pocket so I could text Riley,To see where Lucas was.

That way it'd be more easy for me to talk to the cowbo- ,Ugh,Some of Maya is rubbing off on me.

Hey Riley.-J

Hey,Uncle Josh!-R

Where are you and Lucas?-J

Well I'm getting ready and Lucas is out getting some ice cream for me!-R

Which ice cream place?-J

The once across the street from my place,Why?-R

No reason.-J

Oh..okay?-R

Yeah..uh bye?-J

After that the texts ended,I decided to head over to the ice cream place,Just to make sure Lucas was actually there and not lying.

But as I headed over I found out that Riley was right,he was at the ice cream place.

Dozens of girls surrounded him,But he ignored them all,Determined on getting the ice cream for Riley,He wasn't flirting with anyone at all.

" Yo,Lucas",I said,walking up to him.

"Yo,Josh?", He replied back,looking confused I was actually speaking to him.

Lucas's POV-

Somehow Josh had found me,But how?

" Up to anything? ",Said Josh,cool-ly.

" Not really,just getting some ice cream for Riles and texting Maya",I replied back to him.

"Maya?", Said Josh,Looking confused.

" I said Riley,Were you not listening to me or?",I said.

"No,you definitely said Maya", Said Josh," Why?"

"Probably because she's my best friend an-"

"And what?", Said Josh,Folding his arms at me.

" I just wanted to check she's okay!There's no crime in that,All right!?!",I yelled at him.

"Woah,dude calm down!", He laughed,"You really need to control your temper,Ya know that?"

"Yes,I do", I muttered under my breath,Maya usually helped me when I was in this type of state.

Maya...

Hart...

Maya Hart...my best friend....

I missed spending time with her.

It was all different since I had began " Dating" Riley,I wasn't happy,I missed spending time with her,I wanted to spend time with her.

I thought relationships were supposed to be different then this,But now I'm in a relationship it's different...difficult even.

If this is what a relationship is like then I want to take it slowly...so I still have time to spend with my Best friend,Maya Hart.

Yes,Recently she had began to despise me because I Barely spent any time with her,But I was determined to definitely spend some time with her,so she wouldn't despise me no longer.

Sorry for the short chapter,But it is around 1,000+ words so...:P

I'll do another update tomorrow or later on depending on how I'm feeling.

Yes,it still has Rucas/Joshaya moments but it will still be Lucaya since it won.

And I will be doing a Joshaya story soon,Considering some people have been requesting me to write one for them.

Some have requested a Rucas one to,but I don't really ship it...so it would probably contain Rucas in the Joshaya one,if that makes sense?!?!?!
