XII.

We were all exhausted from our day at Gröna Lund, and since it was dusk, the limousine that dropped us off here picked us up again, and this time, we were going to the holiday home that Caterina, Noah & Christoffer have had fond childhood memories at. Astrid & Matteus had never stepped foot into the house like their older siblings did, so it'd be their first time.

We arrived at the Villa Solbacken, which was particularly small compared to the Drottningholm & Stockholm Palaces, but everything that I had expected since it was a holiday home. It looked like it had been on the land for a century or so as the gates of the land opened, and I gazed at the house as the rest chatted with each other, except for Christoffer who couldn't seem to get off his phone ever since we left Gröna Lund. The car stopped, and the driver opened the car door for us to get out.

"Our bags have been dropped by here already when we were at Gröna Lund, right?" I asked Noah when all of us were out of the limo.

He kept an arm around me as he nodded in response. "It should be in our respective rooms by now." He sighed in wist. "I haven't been here for probably a decade or so."

"Me either," Caterina seconded, a smile on her face."Hopefully my secret spot hasn't been touched since we were last here."

Christoffer seemed indifferent to the whole estate itself, and simply entered the house without even acknowledging the fact that he probably had fond childhood memories made in the villa. Margaux sighed silently, a total contrast to when they both were at Gröna Lund, and followed him from behind. I held Matteus & Astrid's hands as we all went in together.

The inside was spacious, and the high ceilings were unbelievable with a low-hanging chandelier in the receiving room where a cleaning and cooking crew greeted us before going back to their chores. It was much more homelier than the palaces, and I kind of appreciated that.

"There's only two storeys, and that means a limited amount of space for all seven of us," Noah informed me. "Christoffer & Margaux are sharing Christoffer's bedroom, Caterina gets her bedroom that she's always had over here, and Astrid & Matteus are sharing a bedroom too."

I frowned. "What about us?"

He grinned cheekily. "You're sleeping in my room."

I rolled my eyes, a hint of a smile on my face. "Of course I am," I groaned. "Well, we're not sharing a bed, are we?"

He looked everywhere but at me, ignoring my question.

"Let me guess," I started, sighing, "we are."

A suppressed smile played at his lips.

I rolled my eyes again. "Fine, then. I'm taking the left side of the bed."

"Good. I always prefer sleeping on the right whenever I'm here." He shrugged.

"Of course you do," I muttered. "I'm bringing the kids up to their bedroom so that they can get acquainted to it first."

I then approached a maid working in the villa about where Astrid's & Matteus's bedroom was, and she kindly led us to the bedroom upstairs down the left hall, where it was the second last room. She started telling me about what were the uses of the rooms we passed by, and apparently the bedroom beside Astrid's & Matteus's was Noah's. The size of the kids' room was a little larger than mine back in Budapest, and my room was rather large. At least both of them would have enough room to do their own things and spend time with each other in the process.
