XV.
I was holding a bunch of sticky notes in my hands as I'd been in my wardrobe for half an hour or so, skimming through my clothes and pasting them on those I'd wanted to bring to my trip back to Denmark. So far, it was difficult picking out only two outfits for a two-day trip. I hated this.
"Your Highness," I heard Juliette from behind me say slowly in a low tone, "you do realise that you are doing about eight outfit changes in Denmark, right?"
"Oh!" I beamed. "Fantastic. I'll get my other seven outfits picked right away. I imagine that I'll have to wear formally for the state dinner with the ministers and leaders of the Danish political parties, so I'll also have to pick a gown for that. Thanks, Juliette."
She bowed. "Your welcome, Princess. The flight is in three hours, so do make it quick."
As quickly as possible, I took seven day dresses that fitted me perfectly and a gown for the state dinner tonight. I picked out my accessories, bags and shoes that Dorothea would pack up for me, pasting the sticky notes on each of them. Afterwards, I went out of the walk-in wardrobe, where I found Noah sitting on the sofa, waiting for me.
"Hey." I sat beside him and leaned my head on his shoulder. "What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to check up on you, since you'll be leaving for Denmark in a matter of hours." He kissed my forehead, pulling me into his embrace as my back leaned against his chest. His fingers weaved with mine and I smiled to myself at how perfectly they fitted.
"I'll miss you in Denmark," I told him.
"I'll miss you too." He kissed my hair and then raised our joined hands to kiss each of my knuckles. "But I'll see you in a gown the next time I see you in person."
I chuckled, turning to face him slightly. I kissed his cheek. "Yeah, I doubt that Margaux, Caterina or anyone in charge of my hair and makeup would allow you to see me."
He gave a smile of humour as his green eyes met mine. "You'll blow everyone away in Denmark. You'll make a beautiful and poised queen."
"Stop showering me with compliments, they might just go to my head." I stood up from his arms as I laughed.
"They probably already are," he pointed out and I rolled my eyes at his remark.
"You're mean." I threw one of the cushions on the sofa at him, which he caught.
He stood up too, the smile still remaining on his face. He pulled me closer, his hands by my hips as I held my breath. My gaze caught his mossy eyes and he closed them the moment he leaned in to kiss me. I kissed him back, my arms thrown around his neck to be at his height perfectly. After a few seconds, I pulled away with a firm stare. "Now go."
He smirked. "Ever so demanding, Your Highness." He commented as he kissed me chastely. "I'll see you on Sunday. I have projects to get started on right now."
"Alright." I acknowledged with a smile before he left the suite. I went back into the wardrobe again, where I noticed all of my chosen pieces had already been packed in the Louis Vuitton suitcases. I raised my eyebrows, impressed. Dorothea wasn't only inconspicuous, but swift. I could see why she was hired to be my maid.
I went down to the entrance of the palace, where Juliette was waiting for me. "Your Highness, you're here already." She said. "Since we're going to be arriving early at the private airport, I'll get the pilot and his crew to fly immediately when we're all settled into the plane."
