As the boys' car slowly crawls up a long driveway, the gravel crunching beneath the tires, I desperately try to figure out a way to avoid my impending fate. Maybe when I exit the car, I should run for the thick forest that seems to surround their "estate".
Infinity gives me a positively black look from the passenger seat, killing off any hopes I placed in that plan.
As the vehicle stops, my heart begins to beat faster. How can I escape? I'll never be able to sleep in that room, and I could possible go into Primal State. Only Century has seen me like that, and maybe not even him! I don't want to go running around, acting like some crazed animal at four in the morning in a house full of unfamiliar Vampires.
Illusion opens the back doors, the one on Nicolae's side first, and before I have the chance to run away, it seems as if all of them surround me once again. The house grows nearer and nearer, my heart starts beating beyond what could be called healthy and into heart attack zone, adrenaline is pumped into my veins, and my terror level spikes up. I don't want to go into that room. Why do I have to? I should be able to stay on the couch.
It's not fair! I'm sure all of them have fears too. Why don't they have any sympathy? I'll even sleep outside! Why can't I just go home like they said they were going to let me do? Why did they kidnap me? I want to go home. I don't care if Pheonix and Gale are royal jerks, at least they accepted and accommodated my fear.
We're at the door. Infinity opens it. No one is up and about. There's no welcome. Just the darkness of the interior of the huge house, even bigger than the Blue Blood mansions. Where do Vampires get all this money? And with all the bedrooms, why can't I stay somewhere else? There's got to be one free guest room! One! Or an office, or a living room, or even a bar! Someplace! There has to be an alternative.
Encircled by the guys, they lead me to a hallway. All of the doors are ajar, some wide open, and some just a tap away from being closed. Except one. One is closed, with no light shining from beneath the door.
Ansolutely petrified, tears prick my eyes and I try to back away. Infinity, in the lead and apart from the others, glances back. I see his eyes meet Eventide's, then Century's. His gaze holds a question. Century looks back at me, and his eyes widen.
"Stop! It's not like we're going to kill you!" He hisses. "How come you were able to live with all your toys back in the city with no problem?!"
"I don't know!" I sob, trying to quiet my voice. My lip quivers as I try not to make noise. The fact that just the thought of having to be in the same room as toys frightens me to the point of tears makes me ashamed of myself. All of them look at me in shock at my reaction to the room. It's silent besides my small, pathetic crying noises.
Out of nowhere, Infinity strides forward, grabs my wrist, and drags me to another room, the door closed. He opens the door and shoves me into the dark room. Moonlight fileters in from behind a set of green drapes, describing four squares on the floor. There are no toys, no stuffed animals, no nothing. Unsure and reluctant to fall asleep on a bed that's not my own, I curl up next to the mattress and attempt to stop my stupid tears.
I'm stupid, useless, overdramatic, mean, selfish, and horrible. Plus I'm in another country without owning an actual passport in my name. I'm kidnapped from my former kidnappers in the name of war between creatures that are supposed to be fictional, and worst of all, I'm in my situation because of pity.
Red and puffy-eyed, pale-faced, and disgusted with myself, I somehow fall asleep on the floor.

"Get up," someone says gruffly, kicking my side. I push away their foot with a half-mumble, half-whine. "I said 'get up'!" They roar. I open my eyes groggily, only to jump out of the way of Infinity's foot as it comes crashing toward me. His bare toes smash into the bed frame, and Infinity bites his lip in pain, glaring at me before his eyes roll heavenward and he hops around on one foot, screaming.
