Sarah-
Before she or anyone else knew it, finals day came. And as fast as it came, it went.
Sarah didn't think she would make it for some reason, but now she held her test results in her hand. "We'll tear it open at the same time." She and Angie were doing their grade opening ritual in their dorm room. "On three! One... Three!" They ripped their envelopes to shreds, then there was a dead silence before their shouts erupted and echoed through their floor.
"Oh my gosh! I passed with a 79 average! It's kind of low for me, but I'm satisfied." Angie nodded in confirmation. "What's yours?"
"92 average." Sarah smirked at Angie, who had dropped her paper in shock. "How the hell do you do it?"
"I told you. Flash. Cards. It might be boring, but it works. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a meeting to attend to." Sarah sashayed out of the dorms. She was pleased with herself, and couldn't help but grin wildly as she walked to the dining hall.
When she got there, Chelsea was just ending her lecture. "-prefer two, but one other would be great. Anyway, thanks for coming, we're almost done with prep so we'll see you this summer!" Chelsea turned around and started to pack when she spotted Sarah. "What did you do? Walk here? You missed my speech!" Chelsea said playfully, but under that Sarah could tell Chelsea was a little disappointed in her.
"I'm so sorry. I actually did walk. BUT! I got my results in today." When Sarah told Chelsea her semester average, her blue eyes grew wide. "Congrats!" She seemed a little frustrated with the fact
"Okay, so I need like two more people. Legit. Specifically male because there's like three guys. Since you were late to this one, you'll meet everyone else later. Do not be late to the next one. Now, help me put out these flyers." Chelsea continued to explain things as they hung up flyers around campus.
Once they'd finished, the sun was going down. In a couple weeks, the summer scholar program would start. Though she barely knew the other counselors, Sarah felt confident that this was going to be a very memorable summer.
