Chapter 10 - Part 1

Annalise-Marie's POV

It's been days since I last seen my children. Before I used to see them everyday but now, I see them when I see them. Despite having half of me and half of their father, they were quite fast when they were younger. I home-schooled them myself for a while, which is why Lestat was so worried about going to school. Speaking of Lestat in particular, I haven't seen him in a while well not since he moved out and got his own place. However, I have heard from Aleksanteri that Lestat is on the verge of becoming a dad. At first Aleksanteri was unsure about whether or not he should've told me, but either way I am delighted at the news... Then a thought crossed my mind, is my son capable of taking on such a huge responsibility?. Looking after a baby is no easy task and I'm sure all the mothers will agree with me on that one.

1 week later...

It's bright eyed and bushy tailed today!!!. Lestat called me yesterday and said he was coming down to see me. At the moment I really cannot tell you how excited I am to be seeing my son and my potential daughter-in-law. Over the phone, Lestat told me that her name is Emily-Rose but she likes to be called Emily and... wait for it... Emily will be giving birth to a baby girl!!!!. On the plus side that is good for me but on the downside, Aleksanteri will not be happy. If memory serves me right, Katariina doesn't want anything to do with her dad and neither does Lestat (from what I've heard anyway). Aside from that, I'm just happy to be seeing my son today since it's been a while since I last saw him.

>>phone rings<<

Me: Hello?

Lestat: Mom it's Lestat... Listen you have to come to my house right away!!!!

Me: My dear son whatever is the matter?

Lestat: I... I... I just don't know what to do... Emily is having something called contractions, I have no idea what that is or what it means!!!

Me: Oh you silly boy!... It means the baby is coming and the contractions basically tell Emily that the baby has had enough >>laughs<<.

Lestat: Oh thank the lord downstairs... Mom you're a star but I still need you so come to the hospital!!!

Me: Shall I notify your father?

Lestat: NO!!!!... Just head for the hospital... PLEASE MOM!!!!!

Me: Ok

I must go right away because if memory serves me right, when I was pregnant with Lestat he didn't wait around to come out. I'm not saying he shot out like a torpedo but he sure as hell didn't wait around!!!!.

4 hours later...

I am officially a grandmother to a healthy baby girl and I am so happy. Lestat & Emily have gone with the name: Eveliina Katariina Kyllikki Marjo. The name fits a beautiful girl like that perfectly but all in all I am just happy!!!!!!. She does weigh quite a bit though does baby Eveliina; 8lb 6oz or at least I think that's what Lestat said. With all due respect it feels like 9lb 6oz but all that aside (not that weight really matters at this point), she is a beautiful baby and she'll have two loving parents to go with it!. This brings back memories of when I gave birth to Katariina. I just remember seeing her in my arms and all she ever did was smile which made me smile too. Katariina will be happy to be an auntie and she'll definitely be happy when she hears that her name is Eveliina's first middle name. Lestat also told me why he requested that his father may not be present and I must admit, I was a little taken aback but then I remembered that Lestat & Aleksanteri have never really seen eye to eye. Despite being father & son, Lestat has never got on with his father. In all honesty, I really don't why they don't get on but it's best not to ask!.
