Chapter 3

Lestat's POV

3 weeks later...

 My father had begun to notice that I was settling in very well. A couple of days earlier (at the request of my mother), he decided to lift the 6 month deadline thing that I had been given. It was a huge weight off my shoulders I can tell you!. This meant that I could focus on the more important things. Although, what I've been doing these past few days haven't been what you'd call “important”. Yes you guessed it, I've been spending time getting to know Emily. She has the most beautiful name I've ever heard (apart from my mother's... her name is Annalise-Marie). Emily's proper name is, Emily-Rose but she prefers to be called Emily. My mother just likes to be called Anna 'cause she thinks that Annalise-Marie is a mouthful. Anyway enough about me for now, I have a school library to go to... I got my iPhone 5S out and was about to put HIM on when... Emily came up behind me. I was always happy to see her and yes I do have a “crush” on her.

Emily: Hey Lestat

Me: Hey Emily

Emily: What you listening to?

Me: Tears On Tape by HIM... It's their new song

Emily: Can I have listen with you?

Me: Yeah sure let's just wait till we get to the library

Emily: Sure no problem.

 Emily's POV

He was so kind to me when the other girls picked on me. I kept on wondering why he had been so nice... Still I appreciate it and I think I may have found my first friend too hehe. I have a feeling that Shannon is probably jealous of me right now, I suspect that she's going to try and do something. I pre-warned Lestat (I love his name) that Shannon can be a real bitch at times... He laughed because it was the 1st time he heard me swear.

Next day... I met Lestat at the usual place... I find it cool that we have a meeting place and what's even better is... He said he's going to look after me in school and see that no-one bullies me. When he first said that, I felt warm inside and I actually felt really good about myself. I used to think I was this walking “disease” but Lestat has changed that. Anyway... I haven't been taking the school bus recently because Lestat has this amazing car; he told me what make it was but I can't remember. Oh wait that's it!. It's a Lamborghini Murcielago and it's painted black with a purple interior. I kept thinking to myself, what the hell is this?, Saints Row the video game. Having said that, I got into the car and he drove us to school where he told me to wait inside whilst he did something.

Lestat's POV

She met me at the usual meeting place... We talked for a bit then we got into car and I drove us to school. I told her to wait inside for me whilst I made my car somewhat disappear. Of course I didn't tell her that because if you remember, I must keep a low profile when it comes to stuff like that!. Anyway, in spite of recent events, I have become what my father calls “a guardian” to Emily and he says that I must protect her at all times!. I sometimes feel that I'm reliving my father's life when he was protecting my mother in high school. In case you didn't know, my father's name is Aleksanteri but when we go to England he announces himself like this, “Hello my name is Aleksanteri which means Andrew in Finnish”. He's actually not bothered if you call him Andrew but my mother often calls him Aleksanteri and yes my father is from Finland... Helsinki to be precise. The last time I physically saw him, he was listening to song called Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan. In English it reads as Death Makes An Artist. Ever since that day, I've fell in love with it and I'm hoping Emily likes that song too.
