Scene 134: Interior / Louis' Car / Night

Louis slows down the car for Niall to take a better look at the "Welcome to Saint Lawrence" sign at one side of the road.

LOUIS: "And now it's officially official." (excited) "Welcome home, Neil!"

NIALL: (mocking) "Officially official? Why do you keep insisting on making this even harder for me?"

LOUIS: "You are still not excited to be back home I see." (sighing) "Weird... because it usually takes you about an hour of grumpiness before you turn into a likable human being again."

NIALL: "It's just that... I never thought I'd be back here so soon. I should've been in Cambridge right now, building my future, surrounding myself with important and smart people... but no." (sighs) "I'm stuck here with you, the Pink Queen's spittoon."

LOUIS: "Thank you, Niall. I take it as a compliment."

NIALL: "It is definitely not a compliment."

LOUIS: "I know that but I'd rather shake it off than be offended."

NIALL: "I'm sorry if it offended you. I actually didn't even think you'd get it."

LOUIS: (ignoring Niall's shade, as usual) "This is going to be the best summer of our lives. I can feel it."

NIALL: "I doubt that."

LOUIS: "Come on! What's done is done. Maybe there's as reason behind the Cambridge thing not working out, you know?"

NIALL: "I double doubt that."

LOUIS: "There's probably something better for you here."

NIALL: "Something better? In Saint Lawrence?"

LOUIS: "You just never know."

NIALL: "What can be better than Cambridge?"

LOUIS: "I don't know. We'll figure it out soon."

NIALL: "But I don't like figuring things out. I want to have things planned in advance. You know that."

LOUIS: "Exactly my point! Maybe it's finally time for you to loosen up a bit and just let things be for a change."

NIALL: "No wonder why you got into politics, Dr. Phill."

LOUIS: "Please don't add another fake identity to my long list. I have enough as it is." (sighs) "Anyways... SLAW isn't as bad as we used to think, you'll see."

NIALL: "Can you please stop calling it SLAW?"

LOUIS: (laughing) "It's impossible not to. Believe me, I tried but everyone here is calling it that. It's like a trend."

NIALL: "And since when exactly do you follow trends?"

LOUIS: "I could start now... if I want to. That's the beauty of life. You can choose whatever you want to."

NIALL: (absolutely disgusted) "Who are you?" (analyzing Louis' face from very close) "Um... interesting."

LOUIS: "What? What you looking at?"

NIALL: "There's this crazy thought crossing my mind."

LOUIS: "What crazy thought? I'm up for crazy ideas. Let's do something savage... like... I don't know... Ding dong ditch or something."
