Through The Dark (Liam Payne)

Chapter 1

"Good morning, Mom." I say as I take my usual place behind the front desk.

"Oh good morning, Sweetie." She replies. She looks around to make sure we are alone.

I laugh. "Do you have some sort of top secret information?"

She looks smug. "Well actually, yes. We have a celebrity coming."

I am shocked. "Here? Really?"

"Yep. He's from that band you always listen to. One Direction?" She says quietly.

I look up at her. "Wait. What?" She takes my arm, leads me into the office and closes the door. "Tell me the whole story, Mom." 

"A gentleman called me and said the band is taking a break for a few months or so and one of the members is wanting to get away from it all. I assured him that we are way out away from everything. Wouldn't need to worry about fans finding him here."

"Mom, you are leaving out the most important part. Which member?"

She laughs. "Oops. Liam Payne."

Holy crap! They are all gorgeous but Liam is by far the hottest. Maybe this job isn't so bad after all. I act casual. "So when does he arrive?"

"In a couple of days. Right after your father and I leave for our trip. So you will be in charge of everything, Lexi. This is the slow season so we only have a few other guests booked during his stay."

I nod. "How long will he be staying?"

"He's starting with a month but may prolong it." She says.

"Mom, did I mention I needed some time off this afternoon? I have to run into town."

The small nearby town doesn't have much but they do have a great hair and nail salon. I get the full treatment. I even stop by the little boutique and pick up some cute new clothes. I'm feeling ready for our new guest.
