I sit by the front door for another hour. Still no response from Liam.

"Agnes, I'm going to go upstairs and lay down for a bit." I turn around halfway to the stairs. "I'll be in Liam's room."

"Alright, Sweetie." She says.

I use my key to open Liam's door. As I walk into the room, I am immediately enveloped in the scent of his cologne. My heart yearns to have his arms firmly wrapped around me.

I pick up his hoodie and put it on. I take the pillow from the bed, which smells like him, and lay down on the couch. I hug the pillow to me and keep watch on the door. All I can think is, please come back to me Liam.

I continuously check my phone, hoping somehow I missed a message from him. Nothing...then there's a knock on the door. I jump up and open it, praying that Liam forgot his key.

Paddy is standing there, a concerned look on his face. I hold my breath. "Is Liam ok?" I ask panicked. Paddy quickly assures me. "He's fine."

I let out the breath I was holding.

"Can I come in and talk with you?" He asks.

"Of course." I sit on the couch and he joins me.

"Liam sent me."

At that moment I am so very nervous. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

"Liam wanted me to tell you, that you haven't done anything wrong. He just needs some time."

I shake my head. "I don't understand. Time for what?"

Paddy sighs. "Between you and me, Alexis, I think Liam is overwhelmed right now by the feelings he's having for you. Today was intense. He told me all about this Josh guy. It sounds like Liam would have tore him limb from limb to protect you. To feel so intensely, can be confusing, when that's not normally your nature."

"I think I'm beginning to understand. I felt something similar. Paddy, I would have done anything today to keep Liam safe."

He smiles. "I believe you. I could tell that first day that there was something special between you two. Before we got here, Liam was feeling very down. The moment he walked in this hotel and saw you, he completely changed. He was himself again."

I smile. "He did the same for me."

Paddy grins. "I see you are wearing Liam's hoodie. Just so you know, he has a sweater of yours that you left in his car. I haven't seen it out of his hands since I got here." Then Paddy looks serious. "Alexis, please promise me that you won't give up on Liam."

"I promise. I will do my best to be patient and give him the time he needs. Liam is worth the wait. It does hurt to be without him though." I confess to Paddy.
