Later that day, I'm at the front desk when Liam comes down. "Hey there, where have you been hiding out?" I ask him.
He smiles. "Did you miss me?"
"Well, actually I did." I say honestly.
Liam grins. "Good. I missed you too." He pauses to lightly trace circles on my arm. "I've been up in my room writing."
"Writing songs? So this beautiful landscape here has inspired you." I say.
He leans in closer to me, still tracing circles on my arm. "Well, something beautiful has inspired me, but it's not the landscape." He says while I'm gazing into his amazing eyes. He leans in even closer and...Agnes walks out of the office, ruining the moment. I hang my head in disappointment. Liam laughs, gently leaning his forehead against mine.
He pulls back. "I forgot, I came down because my sink isn't working. Do you have a handyman?"
"Normally we do but unfortunately he's on vacation."
"That's ok, if you have a toolbox I can probably fix it." Liam says.
I show him the tool box in the office and as he takes it he asks. "Do you mind helping me?"
"I'd be happy to." I say and we head up to his room.
In his room, I watch as Liam takes off his flannel shirt, revealing the white tank top he has underneath. He asks me to hold something on the sink while he's using the wrench. Next thing I know water is spraying out everywhere. I'm trying unsuccessfully to contain it with my hand while Liam frantically works the wrench. He manages to fix it but not before we are both drenched.
Liam looks at me. "I'm so sorry, Lexi." His eyes move down to my soaked light pink t-shirt, which I can only assume is completely see through now.
"It's ok." Is all I can manage to say as Liam strips off his soaked white tank top. He stands before me barechested, in soaked blue jeans and wet hair.
He hands me a towel. I look at him a bit confused. "This one towel won't begin to clean up this whole room." I say.
He motions to my chest, then looks away. How sweet. He's given me a towel to cover my very wet see through shirt. I hold the towel over my chest. "Thank you, Liam, that was very gentlemanly of you."
He looks down at me with the sexiest look. "I'm afraid my thoughts aren't very gentlemanly right now."
I smirk, moving closer, putting my hand on his bare chest. "Really?"
He slowly bends down, his lips getting closer to mine. Then it happens yet again.
"What on earth happened up here?" Agnes yells as she walks into Liam's room.
"For crying out loud." I mutter as I step back from Liam. "Agnes has anyone ever told you that you have horrible timing?"
She looks up as if thinking. "Yes, actually. I think it was you, Lexi."
I throw my hands up in the air and let them fall. I hear Liam behind me laughing. I turn to face him. With a grin, I say. "Stop."
He winks. "Make me."
Damn, that was hot!
Agnes steps between us. "Ok you two, go get dried off. I'll call Rosie to come clean this up."
Liam winks at me as he turns to go into his bedroom.
In my room I dry my hair and change into a green, comfy yet fitted dress. Ok, I chose it because it's short and shows off my legs that Liam was admiring the other night. Right as I finish re-applying my makeup, there's a knock at my door.
I answer it to find Liam standing there looking incredibly handsome. He's wearing black jeans and a tight grey henley shirt with work boots.
Liam speaks first since I'm still too mesmerized. "I hope you don't mind that I asked Rosie which room was yours?"
I smile. "Of course not." I say, while thinking Rosie deserves a raise.
"You look beautiful, Lexi. That dress really brings out the green in your eyes." Liam says sweetly.
"Thank you." I blush.
"I'd like to take you out to dinner to apologize for the sink incident. Didn't you say there was a small restaurant in town?"
"Yes, there is. You really don't have to apologize. However, I would like to spend some time with you, so I will accept." I grin trying not to blush.
Liam smiles, leans in close and says in a raspy voice. "You don't need an invitation to come spend time with me. You're welcome anytime. Day or night."
I swallow hard. Holy crap!
Liam grins, putting his arm around my waist as we walk to the elevator.
At his car, he opens the door for me and helps me in. As I watch him walk to the other side I think about how I could really get used to a guy treating me this well.
Liam gets in and I catch his eyes on my legs. Guess I chose the right dress.
