Through The Dark (Liam Payne)

Chapter 25

I look around Liam's room and see all of my things. I head to the bathroom first to collect all of my hair products and makeup. "I guess I should get all of my things out of here." I say to Liam as I reach for my makeup bag. He puts his hand on mine to stop me. "Leave them. I like your things here. I was hoping you'd want to be here as well." He grins. Oh the things that grin does to me.

I put my hands on his chest. "I'd like that."

Liam puts his arms around my waist. "Agnes or your parents won't mind?"

I move in closer to him, and in what I hope is a sexy voice, tell him. "Ask me if I care."

Liam smiles, moving in to kiss my neck. I lean my head back to give him better access to my favorite spot. Just as his hand is moving up under my shirt, my phone goes off.

We both sigh as I answer it. "Yes, Agnes, I'll be right down." I hang up. "Sorry, she needs me to deal with the delivery."

Liam leaves one last kiss on my neck. "That's alright, as long as we can continue this later."

"That's a promise." I say as I leave him with a kiss.

The new delivery boy has left our order in the kitchen. I start to unpack the box and put things away. Everything seems to be in order. Then I notice an envelope at the bottom of the box. I flip it over and recognize Josh's handwriting.

I suddenly feel very uneasy. I open the envelope and pull out a note, plus two pictures. I gasp as I look at the pictures. They are of me, obviously taken without my knowledge. One at the front desk, and one in my office. I take everything and sit down at a table in the dining room. I begin to read the note.

"My sweet Alexis,

I don't know what that man has done to you, but you have obviously forgotten that you are MINE. That's ok, it's not your fault. It's HIS. I think you need me to come remind you. Maybe it would be best if I come to the hotel when no one else is around and take you to your room. I'll prove to you that you are supposed to be with me. It might hurt, but you need to be reminded. I love you Alexis and I know you love me. Wait for me Alexis. I'll be watching.

Chills run through my body as I begin to cry. He's insane. I can't believe this. My mind is racing. I can't stop the tears.

Agnes and Liam walk into the dining room together. They both see the state I'm in and rush over to me. I hand Agnes the note and pictures. Liam wipes away my tears. "What's wrong, Lex?"

I try to speak, but nothing comes out. I'm starting to hyperventilate. Liam takes my hand, telling me to look in his eyes. Between his touch and his sweet eyes, I begin to calm.

"Oh my Lord!" Agnes says. "I'm calling Joe."

Liam looks up at her. "What?" She hands him the pictures and note. He sits in a chair to read it. I watch the expression on his handsome, kind face change from concern, to shock, to flat out anger.

Liam jumps up out of the chair so hard it crashes down behind him. He takes the pictures and note and heads out of the room.

"Liam!" I yell as I run after him. He's already out the front door.
