Chapter 23

As Liam and I lay in bed, I see the sun rising. The room fills with sunlight and our beautiful candlelight is gone. I contemplate checking my phone, deciding I had better. I reach across Liam to retrieve it and he grabs me, tickling me as he rolls us over till he is on top of me.

He leans in close to me, whispering. "Where are you going? I'm not done with you yet, Gorgeous."

I try to catch my breath. "I'm not going anywhere." I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him close until his lips are on mine. I am overcome with feelings as we make love in the warm sunlight streaming through the window.

The candlelight was romantic, yet seeing Liam's flawless body in this light is so

incredibly sexy.

He must feel the same. "Lexi, I love being able to see all of your beautiful body."

I smile and run my fingernails down his back. Surprised by my confidence. Liam makes me feel beautiful and sexy. My imperfections don't seem to matter to him. As I lie in his arms, I realize I have never been so happy. I relax into his embrace and then remember. Oh crap! I need to check my phone.

I have several messages from Agnes and my parents. I send a quick text to my parents, telling them I'm fine and I'll call them soon. I'm about to call Agnes when I hear noise downstairs. Liam and I look at each other. Looks like our alone time is over.

He puts his hand in my hair, giving me a long passionate kiss. "You go ahead and get dressed. I'll greet Agnes." Liam dresses quickly in jeans and a tshirt, then runs his hand through his hair.

I'm frozen for a moment, looking at him. How can he look equally as hot in a suit as he does fresh out of bed in jeans? Well actually he looks hot in bed out of those jeans also.

"Lex? You alright?" Liam asks.

I blush. "Sorry I got lost in my thoughts."

Liam smirks. "I could see that. By the way you were looking at me I think we should revisit those thoughts later." He winks as he heads out to the living room.

I get dressed, brush my hair and as I start to apply a little make up I notice my face is quite red. I smile, realizing it's because of Liam's beard. Hmm, wonder where else I'm red? I look in the mirror, catching the goofy grin on my face.

Then I hear Agnes in the other room. I decide to just go with moisturizer and mascara. I'll wear my "beard burn" proudly.

"Where's Alexis? She wasn't in her room." Agnes asks Liam.

"I'm right here." I say from the bedroom doorway.

"Are you alright, Alexis?" She asks.

"I'm great." I look at Liam and smile.

Agnes looks at me, then at Liam. Then over at our makeshift fireplace complete with rumpled blankets. A lightbulb goes off above her head. "I'll see you downstairs, Alexis. They said the power should be back on soon."

I walk over to Liam after she leaves, he wraps his arms around me. "I guess I should go downstairs and do some work." I say.

"Alright. I'll get cleaned up." Liam says before whispering in my ear. "I can't wait to be alone with you again."

I whisper back. "Mmm, me too."

We kiss...a long, passionate, aggressive kiss. The perfect ending to our incredible night.
