Chapter 17

Liam stands up, offering me his hand. He moves behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist. I put my hands on his as we watch the storm outside.

I jump a bit, startled by the thunder and lightning that's begun. Liam holds me tighter, whispering in my ear. "You're alright, Love, I've got you."

Oh my, I think my heart just literally melted. Is that possible?

I relax into Liam's hold, feeling completely safe with him.

He turns me to face him, putting his hands on the sides of my face. He kisses me deeply, then looks in my eyes. "I want to take you to bed, Lexi."

I smile. "What are you waiting for?"

He grins. With one arm around my back and the other under my knees, he picks me up. I wrap my arms around his neck as he carries me to the bedroom.

We enter the bedroom and Liam sets me down. I look up into his eyes, the candlelight reflecting beautifully in them. He removes his pants then reaches behind me to unzip my dress. He watches me intently as I step out of it.

Liam takes my hands, leading me to the bed. He sits on the edge as I stand in front of him. I move in close to him as he leaves tender kisses all over me before removing my bra. He looks at me, then moving up to my eyes, says. "You are absolutely perfect." I smile and put my fingers through his hair as he begins kissing the part of me he's just seen for the first time. His kisses start off gentle then grow in intensity until I'm moaning in pleasure. He brings me close to the edge before pausing.

I step out of my panties. Liam stands up, looking in my sparkling eyes. "Are you ready?"

I look into his perfect,sweet eyes. "Yes. I've never been more sure of anything in my life."

He grins and removes his boxers. He helps me onto the bed, then lays down beside me.

Liam lays there playing with my hair as it falls over my shoulder. "Lexi, I need you to know this means a lot to me. That you want to be with me. I'm crazy about you. I've honestly never met anyone as special as you."

I touch his face gently. "Liam, the way I'm feeling for you, I've never felt this before. I trust you one hundred percent with my heart."

Liam smiles. "You can, Babe. I promise to be gentle with your heart." He pauses. "Now I can't promise I'll be gentle with the rest of you though. I want you so bad, Lex."

"I don't recall asking you to be gentle, Liam." I say as I raise my eyebrows.

Apparently he likes my response because I swear I hear him growl.
