2012- The End of the Earth

Chapter Nine

*Day 10 (Morning)*

"OH NO! WE FORGOT ALL ABOUT OUR FAMILIES!" Niall screamed, waking everyone up. Everyone poked their heads out of their tents in a panic and looked at me. 

"Why you looking at me?" I asked surprised.

"You’re the most powerful, and you found our girlfriends! You can find our families!" Liam said.

"B-B-But! We can't add more people with us. It would be too dangerous for them." I said.

"Then we'll have them live here! It's safe from zombies! We can make it bigger! We can set up huge, thick, rock walls to block everything but this town off!" Niall added. I bit my lip and then nodded in agreement. 

"I will if we start to block off all this town and kill the other zombies. Then we have to get rid of the zombie’s bodies. As in throw them over the walls...or burn them." I said.

"Deal!" Harry said. The others nodded determinedly too and soon we were all up and dressed for the day.

We started the preparation that day. Zayn and Nina were carried by Lucy and Louis and were building the wall around the town. Meanwhile, Harry, Niall, and I were killing other zombies in the town as fast as we could and Nat and Liam were taking care of the camp.

Suddenly, I shot a zombie that was behind Niall. He gulped and turned around while I continued to scout the area. "I thought you said you killed them all!" I shouted.

"That's what we thought! There weren't any at the cliff!" Niall shouted back.

"Well, there’re about ten attacking us now." I said with clenched teeth. We finished the ten quickly and ran to the next spot.

"I don't want to run anymore. Do that earth bending thingy!" Niall said after a few minutes. I rolled my eyes.

"It's seeing with your feet. You know, like Toph in Avatar." I told him. "Plus we’re going to have to get use to running. Well, running away from zombies at least." 

"Ugh. Just this once, please? We need to get the humans and our parents! Please! You may not have a family, but we do!" Niall said. I stopped suddenly and narrowed my eyes at him.

"What did you just say?" I asked.

"That you don't have... oh. Oops." He squeaked. Harry sighed and slapped his forehead.

"Where did you learn that?" I asked as I stalked towards him with my flaming hair. He opened and closed his mouth a few times as he backed away from me.

"Uh-Uh- umm.... I guessed?" He but made is sound like a question. Then my fists were on fire. I was about to engulf my whole body in fire, but somehow I felt cooled all of a sudden. I looked to my side and saw that Harry put out the fire, leaving me deathly cold.

I’ve been practicing every night and learning about my powers while training my old ones. So by now I know I have to put out the fire or I’ll turn colder. Unhappily, I closed my eyes and breathed in. Then after 5 seconds I opened them and my whole body was on fire. Harry flinched backwards removing his hand quickly and Niall backed further away from me.

"Um... Sam? I don't think you're human..." Harry stuttered.

"What makes you think that? The magical powers or me being covered with fire?" I said sarcastically.

"Um... The problem... Is... Um... That you look that you are fire... Like made of fire?" Harry ended in the question. I looked at myself, saw what he was talking about and tried to calm myself down. After some deep breathing, I finally put out the fire.

"Ok. That never happened even when I practiced it." I muttered. Niall inched closer to Harry and me once he saw that the fire was gone.

"Were you upset?" Niall asked. Harry mouthed ‘what’ at him as I stared at him blankly for a second.

"No! I was happy and that's why I turned to fire." I acidly grounded out. I rolled my eyes at him when he pouted.

"Geez. You don't have to be mean about it." Niall said.

"Wait, you said practice? What do you mean? Do you get up every night to practice?" Harry questioned as Niall continued to pout.

"Yes. I needed to know what these powers can do." I said looking down. "Anyways, I'll do the Earth bending thing if you guys don't mention this to anyone." I said. I pointedly glared at Niall, who lost his pout and smiled at me.

"Deal!" Niall said. I sighed and turned to Harry. Niall and I both waited and stared at him as he stared back at us blankly. Then Harry muttered deal and Niall cheered as I snickered. Then I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. Then I lifted my foot up and slammed it back down. When my foot touched the ground, I saw that there were only 3 zombies left and the wall was done. I raised some rocks and hit the zombies a few times before I buried them underground.

"Ok. Let's go." I said then grabbed them and transported to the cliff. Once there, we saw everyone waiting for us next to our bundled stuff. "So are we ready to leave?" I asked.

"Yep. We packed everything and set up some things." Liam said.

"Let me do one thing first. Hold on, this is new for me and I hope I get it right." I said closing my eyes and opening them. I raised my hands up and plants started to grow. All around fruit, vegetables, and flowers started sprouting out of the ground. There were a section of all the plants that could be the garden, a waterfall nearby that could be a lake and houses where the new arrivals could live.

"Ok! Now we go to your parents... Wait. I think we should split up. Lucy, Nat, and I will take one person to get their family and see if their friends survived; which highly unlikely but, we can hope. Let’s do the buddy system. We’re always with someone else. So Lucy and Nat can go get their family and friends. Then they’ll come back with them and then they’ll take two others. So then Nat with Zayn and Lucy with Niall. I'll take Nina now. The rest can explain our situation while we’re transporting. Now go!" As soon as I said that, Nat and Lucy were gone. I grabbed Nina's hand and went to where she wanted me to go. Well, we actually went to two places. We got her family and 5 friends from school and came back. I saw that Lucy and Nat haven't returned but I dropped off Nina and her people and grabbed Harry to go to Doncaster.

"Um, I live in Homes Chapel, Cheshire." Harry said.

"Right... I knew that. So this is where Louis lives... Alright." I said then grabbed his hand again and popped into his house. He grabbed his sister, mother, father, and his friends. Then he held my hand and told everyone else to hold hands."Hold on!" I said and then in a flash we were back.

"Ugh. I don't like what that was." Gemma said holding her stomach.
