I woke up to Blaise's alarm so I sat up and look over at her. She was laying there, snoring slightly. Jesus, I forgot how much of a heavy sleeper she could be! I giggled before reaching over and shaking her awake.
"Otter come on" I told her. She rose her head slightly, swatting at my hands.
"I don't want too! Five more minutes!" She mumbled but eventually sat up as I continued giggling and shaking her.
"Okay, okay, I'm awake!" she told me. I nodded and headed towards her bathroom. As I got into the shower, I realized I forgot to grab my clothes.
"Otter!" I called out, poking my head out of the shower.
"Yea Mermaid?" She yelled back and I cringed at the childhood nickname she kept for me. Out of all the names, why did she have to use Mermaid?
"Don't call me that! Can you bring my suitcase?" I asked her as I stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around me.
"Yeah!" She said before coming down the hall way with it. She stopped outside of the door and I open the door slightly before I tugged the suitcase into the bathroom and rummaged through my clothes. I threw on my bikini which had an octopus print across it then I put on a shirt that Blaise bought me a few years back for my birthday. "I'm kraken lackin" was written across it and it had a picture of squid with sunglasses on it and then I pulled on a pair of black jeans that had red accents on. Once I was dressed, I opened the door and pulled my suitcase back to Blaise's room. She was pulling on a pair of black and white sandals on as I walked in. I looked at her and giggled slightly when I noticed her outfit. She was wearing black denim shorts but what cracked me up was the shirt she was wearing. She was wearing a sky blue shirt with "You otter believe it" written across it and it had a picture of an otter on it. She turned to look at me as I grabbed a brush and ran it through my hair.
"You ready?" She asked as she began gathering her school supplies together.
"Yeah." I said, turning to watch her. She has changed since I last saw her. She still had bright amber that seemed to sparkle and she was still about a half foot taller than me. But the last time I saw her, she had her hair cut short, barely reaching down to her chin. Now her hair fell past her shoulders, stopping around her shoulder blades.
"What are you looking at?" She told me as she met my gaze.
"Just looking at how much you changed" I said as smiled she walked up as I was putting my glasses on my face. I reached over and tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear.
"Let's go!" she said, turning and heading out the door.
"Wait I got to put shoes on!" I yelled as I slid on bright blue flip flops and ran after her.We began walking towards the school and we soon found ourselves outside a huge building.
"Where do you have to go?" She asked me, turning to look at me.
"To the office, which is here" I said as I looked back at her "I'll see you later" I said and waved at her as she walked away. I opened the door and walked in. I walked up to the receptionist, placing my hand on her desk.
"I am Alex Faye" I said and she looked up with a sweet smile.
"Mr. Yagmai will see you now" she said and went back to work. I nodded and walked past her and up to the big oak door. I let out a small sigh before reaching up and knocking softly onto the door.
"Come in" a husky voice said and I opened the door and walked in.
"Sit down Miss. Faye" he said as he looked up at me, smiling slight. I looked at him as I sat down in a maroon chair in front of his desk. I noticed that he was a bald man with a mustache and glasses.
