"Rin, you came." I mumbled as he walked by my bed and put his hand on my hand.
"Of course I did." He told me as he looked down at my hand. He looked at my hand before he took the necklace from my fingers.
"You still have this?" He asked me as he looked down at it and I blushed.
"Yea.. I do." I whispered. I watched as he clenched it in his hand then bared his teeth before dropping onto the bed.
"Damnit!" He snapped before storming out. My heart felt like it just shattered and I swear the whole room could hear it! Tears formed in my eyes as I grabbed his necklace.
"Come on guys, we can leave now." Blaise's dad said, trying to relieve some of the tension in the room. I glanced over at Blaise and she looked at me with a mix of sadness and anger in her eyes. I could tell she felt sorry for me but was also majorly pissed at Rin. Well I guess he doesn't have feelings for me anymore.
"Mermaid..." Blaise said softly, stepping toward me.
"I'm okay." I smiled at her softly. "Can we go home?" I asked.
"Yeah we can." Her dad told us and Blaise helped me from the bed. My head felt like it was splitting open as we walked under the bright fluorescents lights that lit up the waiting room. She helped me into the car, sitting down beside me as we drove home. Once we got back, she helped walk me into the living room while I let out small groan, holding my head with my free hand.
"Blaise honey, take her to bed please." Her dad said, setting down in his recliner after Blaise nodded. She led me down the hallway and into her room, helping me set down on her bed. I looked up at her when she took a breath, opening her mouth to say something before pausing. She looked down while playing with the hem of her shirt.
"I have to tell you something." She told me before looking up. I looked at her confused and she sat down next me, grabbing my hand and looking down at the floor again.
"Otter, what is it?" I asked, feeling myself begin to panic, thinking that there was something wrong with her.
"I...I lied to you about the reason I was crying yesterday." She told me, swallowing quietly. "I...I think Haru and Sousuke were fighting about you." She quickly mumbled out. Haru and Sousuke were fighting about me? Why?
"What do you mean?" I asked scooting closer to her
"Well, when I walked out, I heard that Haru was telling Sosuke that she really cared about him then Sosuke said something about that he wasn't thinking straight and that if Haru didn't take care of it he would- I think he was talking about you and Rin." She trailed off, looking at me now.
"Do you really think so?" I asked her and she nodded. I knew he didn't like me Suddenly Blaise's phone buzzed and she picked it up, reading the message and smiling down at it. Oh, I bet it's Makoto judging by her reaction.
"Oh it's Makoto, he asked how are you and if we have any plans this weekend?" She told me, still smiling slightly. I guessed right! It was Makoto!
"I'm fine, I just a headache. And plans? I don't know, do we?" I asked her and she paused, thinking for a minute.
"No I guess not. Let's see what he has planned!" She said, smiling at her phone again. Her and that boy, I swear. I just hope he doesn't end up hurting my little Otter.
"He said that there is this thing at Samezuka academy and Rin had told them about it but then told them not to show up!" She said before giggling.
"That means there is something embarrassing there! We must go!" I yelled before grabbing her hand. I snatched my back, grabbing my head as pain shot through it, hissing at the pain.
"Mermaid, calm down! We will go and I'm texting him that we will. But you need to calm down!" She giggled at my reaction to the news. I nodded before walking over to my suitcase, rummaging through it for night clothes when Rin's necklace fell from my shirt. I picked it up, staring down at it before clasping it tightly in my hand.
"Otter, put this on me." I said, turning toward her and she nodded before walking over.
"Okay" She said slowly as she took it from me and put it around my neck, latching it gently. I reached up, running my fingers softly across the tooth.
"I never forgot you but did you forget me?" I asked it quietly as I got dressed for bed. I laid down with Blaise, cuddling up to her and drifting off to sleep.
