*Alex*
Blaise was crying into my shoulder as Haru and Sousuke continued fighting and yelling.
"You two stop it!" I screamed. I was panicking because I had no idea what was wrong with Blaise. Sousuke turned to me, glaring at me
"Shut it Alex! This doesn't concern you!" He yelled and I heard Blaise whimper slightly, sobbing even harder. Rin ran out as he heard everyone yelling and he looked at me holding a crying Blaise. His eyes widen and he growled slightly as he saw her sobbing. Something tells me he knows why she is reacting this way.
"You two, stop it now! Can't you tell your upsetting her? Look at her! She is freaking crying!" he yelled at them as he ran over the Haru and Sousuke.
"Rin, we are leaving! Come on!" Sosuke said before walking off. Rin looked at me holding Blaise as she was continued bawling and I shook my head, pleading for him to stay.
"I'm sorry." He said quietly before walking after Sosuke.
"Rin!" I yelled after him while I sunk to the sand with Blaise. I heard the other guys came running towards us as I held onto Blaise, trying to calm her down. I really don't know what was going on. One moment was fine and next thing I know I heard Blaise yelling at the guys to stop and then breaking down in tears. As soon as I heard her cry, I had come running. I haven't seen her like this before. I mean sometimes when she was younger she would come to my house, crying about something because her mom upset her. Her mom wasn't the nicest person but she seemed to be at least better than my parents but I don't really know, I never spent much time around her.
"What's wrong? Why is she crying?" Makoto asked, kneeling down next to us.
"I-I don't know" I said as I laid my head on top of her, petting her hair with one hand, the other holding onto one of hers. She used to hold my hand a lot as kids because she was always afraid to be separated. It always seemed to help comfort her, so please work this time!
"Blaise..." Nagisa sat down next to me and hugged both us. I felt her body stop shaking as hard and her sobs began to get quieter.
"Otter, what's wrong?" I looked down at her and she shook her head while sniffling, looking up to me with her tear soaked face.
"The yelling just really upset me." She told me quietly, looking away and refusing to make eye contact.
"Why?" I asked her, confused. Why would yelling upset her so much? Blaise paused for a moment before answering.
"Um, I guess I'm just getting upset a little things because of, you know, that time of the month?" She said, looking down at the ground.
"Ew that's gross!" Nagisa said and Blaise gave a little giggle, wiping the tears from her face. I just shook my head, relieved that that was all it was. Still though, I feel like there is more to it. Rin seemed to know something I didn't...god damn that asshole! Why am I even thinking of him? He left with the guy that caused my Otter to react this way! I planted a kiss on Blaise's forehead and held her tighter while she squeezed me back, still holding onto my hand.
"Thanks for always being here for me. If it weren't for you, I don't know what I would do with my life. You are the reason I am who I am today." She whispered to me. I looked at her in shock but it soon faded and I smiled at her as I helped her stand up.
"You're welcome." I said to her, feeling happy that she wasn't crying anymore. Still part of me ached a little, sad that Rin left.
"Hey, let's swim some more before it gets too dark!" She said, smiling slightly and I nodded while smiling back. She ran out to the water along with Makoto and Nagisa as I went to the pier and sat down, dangling my feet in the water. I heard footsteps walking towards me and I looked over as someone sat down next to me. I looked over and saw that it was Haru.
