I spent the whole weekend doing homework to catch up with my class while Blaise either slept or worked on a drawing. Whenever I tried looking at the canvas, she would hide it saying that I couldn't see it until it was done. It was just a painting, I don't see why I couldn't see! But I suppose I will have to wait until she finished it. But that may be a while, she said it wasn't due till next month or something. After we went to school on Monday, I walked into my Chemistry class and handed my stack of homework to the teacher. He looked at me in shock as I turned at sat down at an empty desk away from everyone else. I pulled out a book and began reading, waiting for class to start. But I was interrupted when a familiar voice broke me out my thoughts.
"Mind if I sit by you?" I looked up, seeing Rei standing next the empty desk besides me.
"Sure." I said, smiling at him slightly before going back to my book.
"What are you reading?" Rei asked me, trying to look at the title of my book.
"Something on the Darwin theory" I told him, setting it down slightly when I heard the bell ring and our teacher cleared his throat slightly.
"Class, this is a free day. If you have nothing to turn in, you can do whatever." The teacher told us before sitting down at his desk, grading some papers. I went back to reading but looked up after a little bit, hearing Rei tap a pencil against the table. He was tapping the table with his pencil and was looking at his paper with frustration. I placed a piece of paper in my book to mark my page before closing it before I turned my attention to Rei.
"What is wrong? You look frustrated." I asked him. He paused before turning to look at me.
"I can't get this solution to balance out." He said, frowning slightly.
"Let me see." I said and he nodded, sliding the paper over to me.
"That's because up here you don't have the right amount of neutrons. You have six but you only need three." I told him, showing him his mistake.
"Wow, I was stuck on the problem all weekend thank you!" He said smiling before fixing it. I nodded before I went back to reading the rest of the class, stopping when the bell rang. I began gathering my stuff up while Rei got up, standing next to me.
"After you put your things in your locker, meet the rest of us out front. Miho will drive us to practice." He told me while I nodded, smiling slightly. Rei nodded before walking off, heading for his locker. When I was putting my books in my locker, I heard footsteps running over and I looked over, seeing Blaise heading towards our lockers.
"You ready for this?" She asked me excitedly as she put her bag into her locker.
"I already have my bathing suit on." I said, nodding at her. I watched as she let out a small giggle before rolling her eyes.
"Of course you do, when don't you? Let's go! " She said as she shut her locker. I nodded before walking out front, spotting a small petite women with brown hair and eyes. She smiled sweetly before walking over to us.
"Hello I am Miss Miho." She said sweetly "You two must be Alex and Blaise, the boys told me about you."
"It's nice to meet you. I'm Alex and this is Blaise." I told her as we both smiled back at her.
"Nice to meet you. You can get in while we wait for the others to get in." She told us, motioning to the car. We nodded before taking a seat in the back, me next to the window and Blaise right beside me. Soon Makoto showed up with Haru, Rei, and Nagisa, and Gou. Nagisa smiled at us as he took a seat next to Blaise.
"You ready guys?" Nagisa asked us, looking excited.
"Yea, this will be fun!" Blaise said smiling while I just shrugged.
"This is an all-boy's school right?" I asked the guys.
"Yeah, why?" Rei asked, looking slightly confused.
"Where are we supposed to be changing?" I asked
"In a girl's bathroom. I will be helping you two, so don't worry!" Gou told us, smiling brightly
"Okay" I said, shrugging. Soon we left and headed for the school. When we arrived, we split up, the boys going to the locker room to get ready while Gou lead us the bathroom near the pool. She helped stuff my hair into my cap while Blaise did her own. Luckily for Blaise, she was able to easily shove her hair under the cap while Gou struggled to get even half of my hair into my cap.
"You have a lot of hair Alex" She said as she finally succeeding in shoving my hair completely in.
"I know." I told her as we left the bathroom and headed into the room containing the pool. I looked around as we enter, not seeing anyone else. Blaise reached over and grabbed my arm before I could run over and jump into the water. We took a seat on the bench to wait for the others so that we could swim. I looked up when I heard footsteps approaching and I spotted the
others along with two guys I didn't recognize. One had maroon colored hair and shark like teeth. The other was taller with black hair and had teal colored eyes.
"Who are these two? New members?" The maroon haired one asked as he pointed at us. He's really attractive...and he looks really familiar, but I can't really figure out why.
"This is our new member Blaise and this Alex, a friend of Blaise." Makoto told them.
"And this is Rin." Makoto said pointing at the maroon hair one. "And this is Sosuke." He said as he pointed to the taller one.
"What do they swim?" Sosuke asked, looking down at us.
"I swim butterfly" Blaise said nervously. I forget how nervous she can be with new people.
"And you shorty?" he asked but I just shrugged.
"I'll race Alex" Rin said looking at me but I shook my head.
"Why not?! Please, please, please! "Nagisa begged me and I made the mistake of looking over at him, witnessing his puppy dog eyes. God damn it, he's so adorable. It reminds me of when Blaise begs me for something.
"Come on, Alex." Rei said, smiling at me.
"I want to see what you're capable of!" Makoto said smiling at me. I looked over at Blaise to see that she had her hands clasped together with a pleading look on her face.
"Swim Mermaid" Haru whispered behind me.
"Errrr, fine" I gave in. "But only if Blaise races Sosuke and she has to go first!" Blaise just shrugged her shoulders but nodded, not really caring.
"What will you be doing?" Makoto asked, smiling slightly.
"Free" he said and I nodded. I watched Sosuke and Blaise walk over to take a spot on the starting blocks. She pulled her goggles before getting into position, Sosuke following suit. Soon the whistle sounded and she took off, shooting across the water. By the time she made it to the other side before turning at swimming back, Sousuke had only made it around half way. Holy shit, I didn't realize she was this fast! I knew she could dive but I have never seen her swim like this! I turned my head slightly, giggling when I saw Makoto staring at her, his mouth wide open. I turned back to Blaise to see had finished and was climbing out the pool. I ran over to her as she leaned over panting. I noticed her hair had begun slipping from her cap and I quickly shoved it back in, hoping no one noticed.
"Thanks!" She told, standing up and smiling at me.
