*Alex*

I went out into the hall and slid down the wall, my towel draped over my head. I heard someone open the door and come running over to me.

"Alex, what's wrong?" I heard Blaise ask me as she kneeled beside me.

"Rin" I told her, pulling the towel off my head. I looked over to see she was staring at me with a confused look.

"What?" she asked while she tilted her head slightly.

"He threw me in the pool..." I said softly, watching her eyes widen in realization.

"Come on Alex. We should head home." She told me before standing up, holding out a hand to me. I ignored her offer and stood up myself, shaking my head.

"I'm going to walk home, I need my space" I told her as she gave me a worried expression, concern plastered on her face.

"I'll be okay Otter, I will be home later. Just let Dad know for me, okay?" I said before heading back to the pool to grab my bag.

"Alex?" I heard some say and I looked over to see Haru and the other guys looking at me with concern.

"Bye guys, I'm going home." I said before turning and walking out the door that lead outside. I walked for a while and looked up the clouds, seeing the sky grow darker and feeling the wind pick up. I think I will head to beach, maybe sit on the pier. I walked of the sidewalk and headed out to sit on the end up the dock, my feet dangling over the edge. The wind got stronger, churning the ocean in front of me and I pulled my legs up to my chest, resting my head on my knees as I watched the waves crash against the pier.

"Look at the way you're acting" I said out to the ocean as tears began streaming down my face.

"It hurts more and more every day that you aren't here!" I cried as the waves began crashing against the pier harder, once in a while reaching high enough to splash across the wood. I was snapped out my thoughts when I heard someone yell my name and footsteps running towards me. I turned to see Blaise running down toward me and my eyes widen in fear as I saw a huge wave heading for the pier. That wave looks high enough to reach over the deck. If it hit her, she would be knocked over by the force!

"Blaise, stay back!" I screamed, trying to warn her but my warning was cut short when the wave came crashing into her. I watched in shock as she was knocked off her feet, sliding towards the edge. I could hear a thump as her head hit the edge before she went off the side.

"Blaise!" I screamed before running towards where she disappeared. I could see Haru and the guys running towards us. Haru made it to the spot Blaise fell of the same time I did and he began taking his shirt off.

"No! I'm used to swimming in this!" I yelled before jumping into the water. Luckily Blaise hadn't been dragged out further but I spotted her clinging to pier supports.

"Alex!" Blaise choked slightly. She was struggling to hold on and stay above the water. A smaller wave hit, knocking her loose and I saw her arms begin to flail around, her head bobbing under and so I swam over quickly but when I was a few feet away she suddenly stopped, sinking completely into the water. I lunged over, diving beneath the surface and grabbing ahold of her. I swam to the beach, heading towards the guys. I could see the fear plastered on everyone's face as I dragged her up onto the sand.

"Blaise!" I called, shaking her and when she didn't move, tears filled my eyes. I put my head to her chest only to feel that she was barely breathing. I straightened her neck out and opened her mouth, getting ready to do CPR when she suddenly coughed up water that was in her lungs. She sat up slightly, looking up at me with wide eyes.

"You saved me." she quietly as I wrapped her in a hug.

"I'm so sorry! This is my fault." I bawled, feeling her shake beneath me.

"No, it's not! I didn't listen!" She said, trying to pull away from me but suddenly she started coughing, struggling to breathe slightly.

"Makoto, take her home!" I said and he nodded, walking over to pick up Blaise. I stood up as I looked at her, shaking violently in his arms and I felt the tears began to fall from my eyes.

"Alex, where are you going?" She called as I turned and ran.

"I'm sorry! I can't do this!" I yelled while I ran off, heading to a park and sat down under a tree when it began to rain. I was just sat there, looking at the ground when I heard someone running up the sidewalk but I heard them stop in front of me.

"Mermaid?" They asked and I looked up to see it was Rin. He had his hair was tied back and he was in his school jacket and red and black sweats. My eyes must have been red from crying because he looked at me with concern.

"Are you okay?" he asked kneeling down in front of me.

"Rin, stop, why are you here?" I asked, looking down at the ground again.

"I was doing my evening run." He told when suddenly the air was filled with the rumble of thunder, causing me to jump.

"Still don't like storms huh?" Rin asked as he moved the sit beside me.

"Yea ever since that day." I told him quietly and I heard him sigh slightly.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there." He told me softly and I turned to look at him.

"You were in Australia, you couldn't have been." I stammered out as I began shivering. I heard a zip before feeling Rin cover me with his jacket.

"Rin..." I said while trying to take it off but he stopped me.

"Keep it" He said, giving me concern. "You should be getting home"

"I can't" I said quietly, looking away.

"Why? I bet Blaise is probably worried sick about you!" He told, turning my head to face him.

"I can't face her, not after what happened!" I stammered, tears threatening to fall.

"What happened?" He asked me, looking frightened.

"I was sitting on the pier when a storm blew in. She was running towards me but a wave knocked her off into the water before I could warn her. I had to save her. She could have drowned!" I cried out.

"Is she okay?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.

"Yes, I had Makoto take her home." I told him, sniffling slightly.

"Then why are you here if she is okay?" He asked me, looking slightly confused.

"I saw Kame when she went over." I said, staring blankly at him.

"Oh Mermaid" he said wrapping his arms around me "None of it was your fault stop blaming yourself damn it!" He snapped while he let go of me and stood up.

"Come on. I'm taking you home before you get sick" He said and held his hand out to help me up and I grabbed it, letting him pull me to my feet.
