I looked over, watching Blaise take a seat next me, Makoto sitting down next to her. I giggle slightly as I saw them both turn red while they smiled at each other and began chatting. Oh, she likes him doesn't she? Aww, my little Otter is growing up! I was drawn out of my thoughts when I felt someone staring at me so I turned, realizing Haru was looking at me.
"Your hair is red." He told me, blankly staring at me. No, really? Thank you Captain Obvious.
"No really? I know this" I told him, staring back at him.
"I like it." He said before turning to look out the window.
"Oh, thank you." I mumbled quietly. Well that was...odd? Yeah, really odd. I was once again snapped out of my thoughts when Nagisa turned around to talk to us.
"Hey you two! Rei-chan and I came up with an idea!" Nagisa excitedly told Blaise and me, clapping his hands together happily.
"What is it Nagisa?" Blaise asked as we looked at him in slight confusion.
"Well for the joint practice, we can dress you both up as boys to trick the others!" Nagisa said, giving a small chuckle.
"That could be pretty funny I suppose. What do you think Mermaid?" Blaise asked me but I just shook my head.
"There's a pool" Haru said and I turned to look at him.
"Compelling but no." I said, pushing my glasses back up on my face.
"Please! If not for them, do it for me! You don't even have to swim if you don't want to! At least do it with me so I won't have to do it alone!" She begged, giving a pleading look, tears forming in the corner of her eyes. God damn it, her and her crocodile tears. I guess she knows I can't say no when she gives me that look though.
"Fine, but only for you." I told her while shooting her a small glare.
"Yay!" She squealed before leaning over and hugging me excitedly.
"We are here." Rei said as he shut off the car. As we got out of the car I heard a snap and felt my hair come cascading down. Stupid piece of crap, I hate when my hair ties break.
"Curse these damned things!" I mumbled out as I brushed my hair out of my face.
"It looks better down anyway, Mermaid." Blaise told and I rolled my eyes in response. Blaise just let out a small giggle and smiled at me cheerfully. I let out a small sigh as we made our way into the restaurant. When we were all in, we were greeted by a smiling hostess.
"How many?" The hostess asked, looking at our group. Really, how many? Can't you count?
"Five" Rei said and she nodded before taking us to a table. After we were all sitting, she handed us our menus and walked away. We were sitting at a booth and Rei, Makoto, and Haru sat across from Nagisa, Blaise, and me.
"I think I might get the Chicken Karaage." Blaise said, looking at her menu.
"Oh, good choice!" Makoto told her and I watched as she began blushing slightly.
"What about you, Mermaid?" She asked, turning her attention to me.
"The sushi platter." I told her, watching her cringe and stick out a tongue at me.
"Ew, that's disgusting." She said and I just rolled my eyes. She's never been a fan of sushi. I don't think she even cared that much for fish.
"What about you, Haru?" Makoto asked his friend.
"Mackerel." He said, looking at him blankly. Makoto shrugged before turning to Nagisa.
"And you Nagisa?" he asked him, smiling slightly.
"Uhhh, the dumpling soup." Nagisa told him, looking down at his menu with a look of concentration.
"Rei?" I asked, looking at the blue haired boy.
"The sesame salmon." He said while smiling at me, closing his menu softly.
"What drinks can I get you?" A waitress said as she walked up to our table.
"Hot tea" I said, smiling slightly at her.
"I think I will go with just lemon water" Blaise quietly told her.
"Water" Haru told her.
"Same for me" Rei said.
"Strawberry ramune" Makoto told her, smiling slightly.
"Mountain dew" Nagisa said cheerfully. The waitress nodded as she jotted down our drinks before leaving.
"So how are Alex and I suppose to disguise ourselves as guys, I mean we are both clearly girls" Blaise asked the guys, remembering back to their early suggestion.
"A one piece bathing suit and some ace bandages should be able to hide everything." Rei told her, pushing up his glasses.
"Oh I see, what about our hair?" She asked.
"Cap" Haru said before the waitress came back and giving us our drink. She then took our orders before leaving once again.
"We don't exactly have anything of stuff laying around." I said.
"Well we can go shopping and help you pick!" Nagisa said while smiling brightly.
"Yeah! It could be fun!" Blaise said, smiling cheerfully at me. Fun for you maybe, you actually enjoy going shopping. Especially if it means you can buy clothes. I gave a small sigh as I rolled my eyes but I nodded, agreeing with the plan. Soon the waitress came back with our food and everyone began eating.
"So Blaise, why did your dad come to Japan?" Makoto asked her, smiling at her sweetly. He thinks she's cute, doesn't he? Maybe he likes Blaise...oh my god, they would be adorable together!
"My uncle died in a boat accident and my dad came to help his wife out. He just decided to stay because he loves living here." She told him before taking a bite of her food.
"How about you Alex? Why did you move down here?" Rei asked me, looking up from his food.
"To be with Blaise." I said before putting a piece of sushi in my mouth and chewing it. I picked another piece and looked down it, giving a small shudder when I noticed it was mackerel. Ugh, I hate mackerel! It's disgusting!
"Haru" I said, getting his attention. When he turned to look at me, I lifted the piece of sushi up with my chopsticks and shoved it into his mouth.
"Here, it has mackerel in it." I told him, not waiting for a reply. Everyone continued eating in silence, focusing on our food. Soon we finished and we headed back to the car so Rei could drive us back home.
"Good bye you guys, see you later!" Blaise called out as we waved to the guys as they drove off. When we went inside, I noticed it was dark inside the house. Her dad must still be at work then.
"I'm so tired!" Blaise complained, yawning.
"We can go to bed" I said and she nodded. We got changed and climbed into bed, soon falling asleep.
