I thrashed around; screaming. I could feel Adam grabbing me trying to hold me down. "Shhh open your eyes its okay" he cooed. My screaming stopped but I didn't open my eyes. I wouldn't. The sight was terrifying.

"Bella open your eyes look at me love" Adam spoke softly.

My eyes slowly opened to see Adam leaning over me. His eyebrows furrowed out of worry. "Come here" he said.

I moved closer to him and he held me to his chest. "Nothing's going to hurt you; you have nothing to fear."

My shaking eventually stopped and I could breath again. I balled his shirt in my fist tightly; I didn't want him to leave, the nightmares might come back.

"What was it about?" Adam asked almost sounding scared. I shook my head and tightened my grip on his shirt.

He laid his large hand over my small fist and ran his thumb over it softly. His cool skin made me sigh and close my eyes. "It's okay."

BANG

BANG

BANG

Three loud bangs sounded from the door. I whimpered and hid my face in his chest. He kissed my cheek.

He got up quickly and swung the door open, growling at the person. I couldn't hear anything they were saying but I heard my name at least twice.

Adam came back and laid next to me. "Everything alright?" I asked, curious why my name was being said.

"Everything is fine love" Adam said without looking at me. I stared at him for a few moments longer; already knowing he was lying. I turned away from him.

"Isabella" he whispered. "Yes."
"Do you still fear me?" Adam asked.

I turned back around and watched him while he stared up at the ceiling.
No...why?" He was silent for a few minutes before he looked at me.

"Good," was all he said, "very good."

I scooted closer and buried my head into the crook of his neck. He wrapped his arms tightly and protectivaly around me. "You don't know how much I adore you" Adam said into my hair. "Your mine...forever."

I closed my eyes still wondering what the man and him were talking about. I wanted to trust Adam fully, but I still was cautious around him. He was a vampire and I was human. I've never heard of the two attually loving each other.

Adam claimed he loved and adored me. And that scared me more than the fact he could kill me in seconds. Other vampires would find out of this and come looking for me; there was only a moment of time.
