"Is the human feeling better today?" Ares smirked.
"I have a name you idiot" I snap.

"I know Isabella"
"Ares that's enough" Adam said firmly, making Ares roll his light red eyes.
"Just trying to get use to my sister-in-law" he muttered.

"Attually I've been meaning to talk to you dear brother" Ares said, now looking and souding serious, "it seems our beloved mother has decided to visit us."

The two brothers stared at each other. Communicating through unspoken words. I could tell that as soon as Ares spoke the word 'mother' both of their expressions darkened eerily and their eyes casted a sisnster shadow that made me back away from them.

"When?" Adam asked, his voice deepend frightengly.
"Tomorrow...someone with a large mouth has told Lilica of your mate," both of their heads turn to me , "she wants to meet her."

Even though I haven't meet the person by the name of Lilica, her name sent shivers down my spine, and a darker feeling of fear that I have ever experienced.

Lilica was not someone who I wanted to meet or ever hear the name of again. I was paralyzed with a unknown fear of a figure who I have yet to see.

"She won't touch her" Adam spit, his eyes slowly turning black.
"She will of you don't hide her" Ares warns.

A deep growl erupts from Adam's chest. "She will smell her, you know how Lilica is like, once she knows something exists she won't quite until she finds it.
"All I can ask for is your willingness to help me protect her from that bitch." Adam speaks.

Ares nods without hesitation. "You are my brother, she is your beloved; I will protect her like she is my flesh" He grips Adam's shoulder, "lay your trust in my hands brother...I will do you no wrong."

The twins look back at me. "There is nothing to fear Bella, everything is alright." Adam smiles at me; but it is too forced.

I hope they know I heard every bit of their conversation. I wish Adam would just tell me when my life is in danger, so I can be prepared.

He tells me not to fear, but the moment I feel in love with Adam I feared the world. I fear his lies of my safety, I fear his fake smiles of reassureence, I fear my life, and I fear this unknown person Lilica who I am filled with a certainty that wants to end my life.
