Chapter Eighteen

"You're such a big kid!" Cheryl laughed as she caught a glimpse of Kimberley's excited face.

"What!? I've always wanted to go to Disneyland," the blonde smiled back.

It had been three days since the girls had had their drunken night in the jacuzzi and after hearing Kimberley rabbit on about going to Disneyland, Cheryl had decided to take her.

"That will be $126 please," the woman in the booth said.

Reaching into her bag, Kimberley pulled out her purse, but was soon stopped by her friend.

"Put you're money away babe. I'll get it."

"No Cheryl I Couldn't . . . "

"Kimberley!" Cheryl said sternly. "I asked you to come with me. You have paid for enough things already and that's not what I wanted. So put you're money away and let me pay for it. This whole day is on me .  .  ok?"

The look on the girls face told Kimberley to let it go. "Are you sure?" she double checked. It really was a lot of money.

"Positive babe," Cheryl smiled, handing over the cash and receiving the passes. "Now let's go and get you a picture with Mickey!"

Kimberley linked arms with the girl. "Ooh and Minnie too," she laughed.

Cheryl smiled with each "Ooh!" and "Ahh!" she heard coming from the blondes mouth.

"It really does look like it looks on the tele!" Kimberley gasped. She was just too cute! "You'll go on some rides with me . . . wont you?"

Pulling back, the geordie shook her head. "Am I nothin' goin' on any of them rides!"

"What was the point in comin' then!?"

"To let you see it," Cheryl replied.  "I've been here plenty of times babe. I've seen the whole park ten times over."

"And you have never been on any rides?" questioned Kimberley.

"No . . . not the scarey ones. I'll go on the relatively harmless, wont make you sick, ones though."

"Aww Cheryl, please! Just go on a few with me?"

"No."

"A couple?"

"No!"

"One?"

"No!"

"You know . . .? This conversation seems strangely familiar to my ears. Ohh yes I remember now! I remember letting you bury me!"

Cheryl turned to face the moaning girl. "God! I'll go on one then, but that's it!"

"Yes!" Kimberley squealed as they came to a halt infront of the biggest and scariest ride in the park.

"No!"

"Cheryl! You said you would go on one with me!"

"I know I did Kimberley, but you're takin' the p!ss with that one! Do you seriously want me to sh*t me pants!"

"Cheryl, please! I'll love you forever!"

Once again, the Geordie sized up the ride and sighed. "Fine, but I swear to god . . . if it makes us sick your're seriously gettin' a smack!"

Kimberley smiled before taking hold of the girls hand and leading her over to the massive queue that had formed.

Half an hour later, and they were nearing the front. Cheryl could feel her bottle go with each step closer they got. 'I can't fukin' go on that thing! I didn't even go on them things with Ashley! It will fukin' kill me!' she protestested to herself. "Babe . . . I really can't go on that, honestly."

Kimberley turned to face the girl. Taking hold of her hand, she gave it a reassuring squeeze. "You'll be fine Cheryl, but if you really don't want to it's ok."

Again, the Geordie looked at the ride and then to her friend.

"Here babe," Kimberley said, sitting the cold bottle of water down infront of the girl.

"I can't believe I f*ckin' did that! I can't believe I went on that ride!" Cheryl said, her face pale white.

"I'm sorry babe. I shouldn't of made you go on it."

Cheryl sighed before resting her head on the table infront of her. "Nah. It's ok. You gave me a chance to back out and I didn't," she said, her hands coming to rest on the back of her head. Anyone who was looking would of though she had problems.

"Babe," Kimberley said, her hand finding it's way onto the Cheryl's. "Do you wanna go home? You really don't look well."

"Nah. Just give us two mintues and I'll be fine," Cheryl mumbled back.

The blonde sat back in her chair, giving the girl some time. The sound of excited children rang in her ears, a smile appearing across her lips. Disneyland really was amazing. The iconic destination was just as it seemed on tv, infact it was better. Looking around the small cafe they where currently sitting in, she watched as the many happily families interacted and socialized with each other. Everyone looked happy in Disneyland.

"Me f*ckin' head!"

Well . . . maybe not everyone.

The sun shawn brightly as the girls walked around the park, looking at the various attractions and buying small presents for their family and friends. Since Cheryl was feeling better, they had went on a few small rides and Kimberley even managed to track down Mickey, who she got her picture with.

"So how was he?"

"How was who?" Kimberley asked, smiling happily as her and Cheryl walked arm in arm down one of the busy walkways.

"Mickey!"

"Aww yeah, he was ok I suppose," she laughed. "I much prefer Minnie though."

Cheryl lead Kimberley over to a metal railing, where they stood for a while, looking at the swan shaped boats sailing from under the love tunnel. "I've always wanted to go on that . . . ya know? she smiled sadly.

"You've never been on it?" Kimberley asked, curiously.

Cheryl shook her head, "No. Ashley wasn't into that kind of thing."

"Do you still wanna go on it?"

"Aye."

"Come on then." Holding out her hand, the blonde smiled.

"It's for couples," Cheryl laughed.

"Does it say that?"

"No, but that's the general idea of it."

Kimberley smiled before leading the girl over to the small queue. "I guess we'll just need to act like a couple then."

After waiting a short while, the girls eventually climbed onto on of the small boats, Cheryl nearly falling in the process.

"This is lovely babe," Kimberley smiled as they set off through the love tunnels, various statues and pictures catching her eye.

"It is," the geordie agreed, her hand resting on her friends thigh. As they continued their journey, she couldn't help but smile. 'This is by far the best day I've ever spend here," she thought to herself, her smile growing wider as she felt Kimberley's hand rest over her own. Turning, she looked at the girl and in that moment, she realized.
