Chapter 37: Back to Old Tricks

(A/N: This chapter is only about Kari and Jooyoung)

The morning after their movie night Kari and Jooyoung prepare for a new day of work. Kari fells slightly unprepared to be in charge but ignores the feeling since she has an important task to get done while Casey is gone.

"Jooyoung, I have a fantastic idea," Kari says enthusiastically over breakfast.

"What?" Jooyoung asks skeptically.

"We've been having trouble getting people to collaborate with us because of SM, right? So I found someone who doesn't care about the situation and will work with us," Kari tells him.

"Do you have the authority to do whatever it is you're going to try?" Jooyoung questions.

"Well, you see..."

"What crazy thing did you do?"

"ImadeastencilofCasey'ssignaturesoIcantraceitondocuments," Kari says quickly.

"What?" Jooyoung asks confused.

"I made a stencil of Casey's signature so I can trace it on documents. Just for times when Casey isn't around," Kari admits.

"Like today?"

"Yes, like today, when I have a great plan, but Casey isn't here to approve it."

"Can't it wait a few days? Until she comes back?" Jooyoung questions as he clears their breakfast dishes.

Kari follows him and helps him clean up.

"Not really," Kari states simply.

"Is it going to help the company and make things easier for Casey?" He asks.

"I believe so," She answers honestly.

"Okay. Do what you have to. And when it's done and Casey gets back you have to confess what you did. And you have to give her the stencil," Jooyoung tells her.

"YAY! I'm so excited. This is going to be the best project ever!" Kari exclaims.

"Who are you working with?" Jooyoung asks.

"I'll tell you more once everything's final," Kari tells him with a mischievous smile while Jooyoung shakes his head at her silliness.

They finish cleaning up and make their way downstairs parting ways when Jooyoung exits on the sixth floor after giving Kari a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Good luck with your plan," He tells her before the doors closes.

Kari continues down to the fifth floor and walks to her office, locking the door so no one can interrupt her. She immediately goes to her phone and begins dialing.

The person she's contacting expressed interest in working with Triple F artists when Jooyoung and Zico signed. She never brought it up with Casey because she was busy prepping everything for next set of debuts and comebacks. Since the SM disaster Kari forgot about them until the night before when she was trying to go to sleep. She knew once she thought of them they could be a way to help the company.

While the phone rings Kari couldn't help feeling nervous. She wasn't entirely honest when she told Jooyoung they don't care about Triple F's issues with SM. In fact, she doesn't know how they feel about the situation at all.

"Illionaire Records, how may I help you?" A woman answers.

"Hello, this is Kari Parker from Triple F Entertainment. I'm calling to speak with Dok2," Kari says confidently.

"Is he expecting your call?" The woman asks skeptically.

"He asked me to call when I had an answer for him about a joint project with our company, so technically yes," Kari counters.
