Chapter 40: The Lost and Found

(Casey and Zico)

Casey wakes to the sun shining brightly on her face. She looks around and remembers what happened to her last night and that she stayed at Taewoon's house after he saved her. She still can't place how he seems familiar and again pushes the thought aside as readies herself for her search for Zico.

Despite what happened the night before she isn't going to let her plans to find Zico change. Casey showers and dresses quickly, cleaning up after herself and packing up her things before heading downstairs to greet Taewoon.

She doesn't want to stay with Taewoon and impose on him any more than she already has. With this thought in mind, she walks casually downstairs where she hears the voices of Taewoon and who she assumes is his brother.

"I told you we have a guest, why are you making a mess?" Taewoon says.

Casey stops at the bottom the of the stairs, not wanting to interrupt them in the middle of an argument. They banter back and forth before Taewoon's brother says something she can't hear.

"She was attacked at the hotel you were staying at. I didn't feel comfortable leaving her at another hotel, so I offered to let her stay here," Taewoon answers.

"What's her name?" His brother asks where Casey can hear causing her to think she recognizes his voice.

"Casey."

"Casey? Are you sure?" His brother asks, shock evident in his voice.

Casey decides this is the best time to enter the kitchen.

"Good morning," Taewoon greets as he sees her in the doorway.

Taewoon's brother turns to look at her and finds himself stunned for a moment. Then he grabs Casey and pulls her into a tight hug.

"Are you okay?" He asks her.

Taewoon looks on in shock as Casey is hugged by his brother.

"Ummm..." Taewoon starts.

"I'm okay Zico. I'm okay," Casey whispers.

"I'm so sorry. I should've been there," Zico says as she begins to cry.

"You know each other?" Taewoon asks.

"It's okay," She says as he strokes her hair.

"I'm here too you know," Taewoon says, upset at being ignored.

He then joins in on their hug causing Zico to give him a questioning look.

"What are you doing hyung?"

"Trying not to be left out," He replies with a smile.

Casey laughs and pulls away from the hug to dry her tears. Zico and Taewoon step away from each other, smiles on their faces. Zico looks at Casey, unable to keep his eyes off her after finding out what happened to her the night before.

Taewoon ushers the two to the table for breakfast and they eat in comfortable silence.

"I can't believe you're who Zico came to get advice on," Taewoon finally says when they finish eating.

Casey blushes before she grabs her dishes and moves to wash them.

"I'll do them," Zico interrupts, moving Casey away from the sink.

"I can wash dishes Zico," Casey informs him, trying to move him out of the way.

He doesn't budge and just begins filling the sink with water and soap.

"But you don't have to, you're a guest here."

"I'll let you two talk," Taewoon says, putting his dishes in the sink and leaving for his office.
