After her run in with Jooyoung the sadness Kari was trying to forget comes back in full force and she looses her appetite. She puts on some music and gets back to work. Hours later she finds herself exhausted, and looking at the time she figures out why. It was past nine in the evening and she had been working herself constantly. Starving and tired Kari decides to go home.

Too occupied with thoughts of food and sleep Kari makes to way worry free to the apartment. It's not until she reaches the front door that she realizes Jooyoung could be on the other side. Every time she sees him now her feelings go to war. She feels like crying, hugging him, smiling, screaming, and running away all at the same time. It's exhausting and heart breaking and she's ready for all of it to be over. Kari finds hope in the thought of her and Jooyoung getting back together at the masquerade.

When she opens the door she hears light music coming from the mostly dark living room and she can see the top of Casey's head from where she sits on the couch. Entering the room she nears her friend and sits beside her. When she's by her she can see that the music is coming from the ukulele Casey's playing.

"What's with that?" Kari whispers.

"Went to an instrument shop since I was left with no choice but to take time off. I liked it when I saw it, so I bought it," Casey explains quietly.

"Did you finally buy a new guitar then?" Kari asks as Casey continues to play softly.

"Yeah, it's in my room."

"That's good, you can't be sentimental forever."

"Yeah, my old guitar was with me since middle school, but it doesn't sound right anymore. It was time for a new one. So, what did you do today?" Casey asks.

Right after being questioned Kari's stomach decides to announce to the world that it's trying to eat itself.

"Food first, talk later," Kari says.

She fixes something to eat and returns to the couch to eat and talk.

"Where are the guys?" Kari asks between bites.

"I sent them to bed already. Told them we had some girl stuff to talk about. They practically ran away when I said that," Casey tells her with a soft chuckle.

Kari gives Casey a little smile and continues to eat quietly beside her friend.

"How did your plan work today?" Casey finally asks after several minutes of them not talking.

"It worked great, until I saw him in the elevator. I practically ran to my office when I got off. I almost started crying," Kari tells her honestly.

"Let me guess, you locked yourself in your office and worked for several hours straight until you thought it was safe to come up?" Casey questions.

"Yup, pretty much."

"Maybe you shouldn't avoid him completely. I think you two should talk about this. It's not healthy for you to act this way. Especially if you're planning on making your relationship last." Casey tells her.

"What about the No Dating Clause in my contract?" Kari asks.

"We'll figure it out, if you can make up with Jooyoung by the masquerade."

"Really? You would reconsider it? After everything that happened before?" Kari asks in astonishment.

"This relationship is different from before. You weren't like this with him. Jooyoung is so much better for you than he was."

"You really think so?"

"Yes," Casey replies honestly.

"So, since you think my relationship with Jooyoung is such a good idea does that means you will help me with my plan?"
