Lily's POV:

*flashback*

I glanced around nervously for Sev as I shifted my giant trunk so I could see better. I already came through the barrier, it was my first time ever.

I was nervous especially when someone told me to run straight towards the barrier. I was worried I'd ram my head onto it, and nearly pass out. I thought the person had gone bonkers. But then again, I was deemed a witch. Why not?

I was about to get into the train, hard especially with the weight of the trunk, when 2 boys my age rammed into me.

My trunk fell down and opened, scattering books and robes everywhere. The 2 boys, a tall boy with jet-black hair and a smirking boy with messy locks, laughed and ran away.

Tears pricked my eyes.

No, Lily, I scolded myself, No crying. I knelt down and started refolding my robes and stacking books back. A girl with long, wispy-ish blond hair knelt beside me and started helping.

"Thanks," I nodded. The girl smiled earnestly, and started throwing everything in messily. I looked at her like she'd gone mad.

"Train's leaving in a couple minutes. Don't want to miss the train, do you?" she inquired, giggling. I gave a tiny smile and started copying her, chucking everything inside. Finally, I sat on the chest, and it squeaked shut.

The girl stood up and I realized how tall she was. Then again, I wasn't tall myself, either. She had pale-blonde hair pulled up in a high ponytail and very pale skin. The girl had sparkling brown eyes and was wearing a blue skirt with a white blouse.

"All right?" she asked. I nodded quietly. "I'm Teresa Blake," the girl smiled, showing a set of white, even teeth.

"Lily Evans," I smiled back. Teresa helped me hold the trunk as we got into a compartment and pushed the trunk up. There were 2 girls already, one with light blue eyes and blonde locks and another with tanned skin and soft brown eyes. They giggled and smiled at us, welcoming and pleased.

We sat down and started chatting softly, with Teresa laughing every so often. About 10 minutes later, a group of boys slid open the compartment door and peered inside. It was a group of 4, and they all looked like first years. Then I realized 2 of the boys were the ones that slammed into me.

I didn't know they could make friends that fast, especially with a group of 4. Then I realized that I had made friends that fast. Scratch that.

I didn't realize that dunderheads could make friends that fast. But I guess that's what they say. Birds of a feather flock together.

The tall boy had untamable black hair, messy and sticking up in the back, with black frames and mischievous hazel brown eyes to match. He looked well-cared for, and was grinning. His best friend, I assumed, was the other boy. He slouched, smirking with his hands in his pockets. The boy had dark mahogany hair, also messy, only slightly curlier and it didn't stick up in the back. He had what seemed a permanent smirk or sneaky smile on his face, his shaggy hair in his eyes. There was another boy, seeming to not wanted to be noticed. He had a head of dark brown locks, and soft gray eyes. He gave a sense of calm unlike the others. The last boy was hidden in the back. He had watery blue eyes and baby blonde hair, with a short and a little chubby build.

I did my best to glare at them, folding my arms tightly.

"Mind if we sit with you?" the tall boy asked, adjusting his frames. "I actually do mind," I said coldly, not bothering to look in his direction. "What's gotten into you?" the boy questioned.
