Lily's POV:

"Madam Pomfrey!" I shrieked frantically, knowing very well that James and Marlene were in that closet. Madam Pomfrey jumped and turned around. She rushed over to me.

"Oh dear, you gave me a fright! Don't do that again, please. Now that you're up from your sleep, did you sleep well? Oh, and let me check on you. I'm afraid that poltergeist has stolen my wand. I'll have to find things myself then," she said. She went around my bed and knelt down, opening the drawers and rummaging through stuff.

I caught James peeking out of the closet and mouthed, "GO." I did a shooing motion with my hand and mouthed them to escape while they could. James nodded thanks and pulled Marlene out by the arm. She shot me a smile and mouthed, "Tell me later." I nodded but told her to leave.

An hour later, I was released from the hospital wing, feeling a bit dizzy but better nonetheless. The disgusting taste of a bezoar was still in my mouth. For your information, a bezoar tastes like honey-burned barbecue, burned charcoal, and cow manure. Absolutely filthy.

I walked back to the Heads' common room, nearly encountering Peeves dropping a vase on my head. Before he could, I started shrieking at him and yelling at him to go away unless he wanted me to lock him in the Vanishing Cabinet and put him in there with the Bloody Baron. He grumbled but went away, probably more disturbed with my shrieks than the actual threat.

I ran into my bedroom and fell on my back onto the bed. I decided to take a quick nap and slept for a few hours until I heard a knock at the door. I yelled, "Coming!" and quickly fixed the bed, fixed my braid (which fortunately had not been ruined while sleeping) and opened the door. I was surprised to see James Potter standing there with a shy smile on his face.

"Hey," I said cautiously, standing there awkwardly. "Hey," he responded, looking at me in the eye, "so, are you better?" I noticed that he hadn't said anything about what I had said under the influence of the Truth Serum. "Yep," I sighed, "but things are complicated right now. Anyway, what did you want?" He looked down at his hands and looked back up at me. "The Marauders were wondering if you wanted to join a game of Truth or Dare at a party with them tonight. Marlene and Teresa are coming."

I gave him a small smile and said brightly, "Sure! Where is it?" James' face brightened and he answered, "It'll be in our common room, is that okay? It'll be tonight, just when you hear Sirius, that's time. And..er-dress nice, Sirius insisted." He scratched the back of his neck and ran a hand through his hair.

I laughed and said, "Tell Sirius that I will. And tell him not to snog Marlene tonight." James chuckled, and sauntered off, and I closed the door. Madam Pomfrey told me to get the day off so I finished all my homework in 2 hours, and had time to go find Teresa. I needed to see her the most right now.

I was walking up to their common room when I bumped into her. She was obviously way taller than me, so she nearly toppled right over me. When she realized it was me, she threw back her head and laughed. "Lily!" she screamed, hugging me, one hand holding a pasty. Her lilt was always amusing and very interesting to hear. She had a vague accent that sounded like British mixed with German with French with Russian and Irish. It was very weird. She nearly squeezed me to death.

"Teresa!" I breathed, finally happy that I found the person I wanted to talk to. She seemed tired though. Teresa rolled her eyes and said thickly (while chomping into her pasty), "I'm alright, Lils. Don't worry about me." She waved her hand. "Anyway, how are you?"

Teresa was one to have the most fun with. She could be serious and work hard, but liked to have fun and could easily be part of the Marauders if only she wasn't my friend. But Teresa would be the last person to get into a break-up fight with. Marlene would slap the bajeebies out of everybody, but Teresa was the dominant lion in heartbreak. If you let her down honestly and quickly, she would be distant but fine. If you embarrassed her or broke up with her in a way she hated, she would track you down, rip your skin off with her long nails, and hang it up for her new towel.
