A week past by. I've spent everyday, weekends included, at Hotel Cortez with that creepy yet cute psychopath. And, yeah, I should've stopped thinking nice things about him.
I slowly opened my eyes, rubbed it and stood up. I took a quick shower and dryed my hair. I put a black t-shirt on with some white words on it, dark skinny jeans and black sneakers. I picked my black hat and put a bit of black eyeliner around my eyes. I walked out of the bathroom just to see Rocky standing outside the door.
"Hey" I laughed,
"What's up?" he asked with a small smile,
"Oh, you know, just exams" I smiled back.
"You know.. I know you enough to get when you lie" he smirked,
"You do?" I laughed again,
"I guess" he sweetly chuckled.
"There's nothing for you to worry about, I'm fine"
Actually, I wasn't.
It had been a whole week with Mr.March. A whole week of tortured people, blood and insanity at Cortez Hotel. I was doing all this for Rocky, it's true. But I had to admit that being with James made me feel kinda safe. And, yeah, I'm aware of how weird it sounded. But maybe it was just because I knew he wouldn't hurt me. He couldn't, right? Maybe it was because I was getting mad. Maybe it was because he was so fascinating, old-fashioning, charming styled.
"Hello? You still here?" Rocky asked laughing, bringing me back to reality.
"Y-Yeah, sorry, I was just overthinking" I chuckled as he laughed again.
"Today we have that project presentation, you ready?" he asked,
"Not really. I still don't have a story but guess I'll find it. Or else I'm screwed" I laughed.
"My turn is at 5pm, yours?" he asked,
"Same. Did you study?"
"Yep. You helped me a lot, thank you! Without you I would've even passed the first exam" he chuckled with a small hug,
"It's a pleasure" I smiled hugging him back.
I quickly picked my backpack up and walked towards the door,
"Wait, where are you going?" he asked,
"Library, I'm gonna look for some cool stories I could use" I smiled,
"Right, see you there"

The sign started showing, Hotel Cortez. I let out a sigh and walked in.
"Miss.Jordan" Iris said with a small smile,
"Iris" I weakly smiled back dropping my backpack on the floor. I slowly grabbed a notebook, a pen and started thinking.
"What's wrong?" she asked,
"I just need a cool story before 5pm. I have a project presentation, a kind of exam. And if I don't pass it at the first try I will have to pay and retry in between 30 days" I sighed.
