Chapter 8- Pikoro Village... Crap

"WHY ISN'T THIS THING WORKING?!" Garroth yelled in frustration.

"KEEP TRYING!" Laurence yelled in return.

I smiled. It was really adorable how much they both cared about Aphmau.

But #garmau4life...

"Relax you two, the communication link has probably just been shut off for a while. And shaking the amulet is only going to one, make you guys look like idiots, and two, not going to improve the communication."

"You're right." Garroth sighed. Laurence looked sheepishly at the ground. He looked kind of cute to be honest...

NO, Amethyst! Guys like Laurence would never like girls like you. He's way out of your league, plus he's madly in love with Aphmau, even if she has rejected him, so the sooner you get this through your head, the better.

Dante had been quiet for a few awhile now, so I decided to go check up on him.

"Hey."

He looked up, "Oh, Am! I didn't see you there."

"Um, you look like you have something on your mind. Want to talk about it?"

"Huh? Oh I was just thinking about when-"

"Aphmau?!"

The connection had finally worked between the amulets.

I nudged Garroth, "Told you so."

His conversation with Aphmau proceeded with them constantly talking about two things I hate-

1. O'Khasis guards

2. Pikoro Village

But to sum it all up, Aphmau wasn't in immediate danger, and we didn't have to get our butts over there to rescue her or anything.

Which is good for me, since I'd rather not show my face in Pikoro... like ever again.

~Time to Skip to whenever the guys started forming to "brilliant" plan because Raven can't figure out time stuffs~

"Seriously?"

Laurence, you're cute and all, and you may be an excellent fighter, but you SUCK at coming up with plans.

"What? Do you have any better ideas?"

Touche.

"Exactly, we'll be able to lure them away without having them send out a manhunt for us."

"Technically, they already want Garroth, Aphmau, Dante and I, so... It's kind of too late for that..."

Garroth cleared his throat, "Let's just see what Lady Aphmau thinks."

I nodded, "Agreed, let's see what she thinks of Laurence's terrible, terrible, terrible-"

"Okay, okay, I get it. I see your point."

I smirked, "Glad to see that we're on the same page."

~Plan Discussion~

"Seriously? That's the plan?"

I didn't even have to say anything. I was pretty sure the guys could read my mind right about now, based on my expression.

"Told you so." My smirk said it all.

Dante held back a laugh, Laurence stuck his tongue out at me, and Garroth preceded with telling Lady Aphmau about Laurence's 'genius' plan.

~Putting the Plan into Action~

"My Irene, this better work." Dante grumbled. The four of us had to decided to go in separate directions to lure the guards away from the village, and Dante and I were going relatively in the same direction.

"Hey, keep your chin up about it, alright? I know I gave Laurence a lot of crap earlier about his plan, but he did have a good point. The O'Khasis guards are probably going to be less likely to kill us if we're just throwing eggs at them."

Dante sighed, "I guess, anyway, so are we splitting up? I mean Garroth and Laurence went off in their separate directions."

I grinned, "Maybe we should these O'Khasis guards some sibling love..."

"Heh, like old times huh?"

"Like old times, little brother."

We were so ready. Eggs in hand, we approached three O'Khasis guards making "Yo mama..." jokes.

My Irene, help me.

I hate you Zane, with my whole heart and soul, but here's some advice-

Get. Some. New. Guards. Like, now.

But man, pelting eggs at guards never felt so good.

But of course karma came after me within seconds.

One moment I was happily pelting eggs at the O'Khasis guards...

Next thing I knew, I was being pinned to the ground.
