An epic battle between myself and Gene pursued, well as epic as it could be since Gene was kind of kicking my butt...
But hey! I was still holding my own!
Gene had tied Dante up and tossed him in a corner, with a gag on his mouth. The fact that his life was in my hands and that Gene was constantly taunting me, wasn't exactly helping my concentration.
And Gene sure did enjoy taunting me, "You're truly pathetic Amethyst! The way this is going, Dante would stand a better chance against me!"
"SHUT. THE. HELL. UP."
Gene smirked, "Aw don't be like that Amethyst... A DELICATE young lady like yourself wouldn't stand a chance against me anyway..."
My blood boiled at his words, "If we weren't already in hell I'd send you right there!" I blasted a fire ball at him that sent him flying.
He gritted his teeth and grunted as he got up, "You're a real pain, you know that Amethyst?"
I charged at him once more,"Sorry for the inconvenience!"
He deflected my attack with ease and next thing I knew, I was the one on my knees. The moment I looked up... Let's just say I really wished I hadn't...
"I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS POINTLESS FIGHT!!! A PUNY SIXTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL IS NOT GOING TO STAND IN MY WAY ANY LONGER!!!!" His eyes went from a bloody red to a deathly black, blood leaked from them. His former guard uniform transformed into nether scorpion scales.
He pointed at me and his eyes narrowed, "YOU WILL DIE!!! YOU AND YOUR PATHETIC BROTHER TOO!!" He sprinted towards Dante, grabbed him and broke open a hole in the wall. Dante fidgeted violently, desperate to escape Gene's grasp.
I gripped my sword tighter, "LET HIM GO!!! THIS WASN'T APART OF THE DEAL, FIGHT ME YOU COWARD!!!"
Gene held Dante over the lava that surrounded the fortress, "SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR PRECIOUS BROTHER!!"
"HE'S YOUR BROTHER TOO!!!" I screamed.
Then he dropped him.
HE BLOODY DROPPED HIM! THAT SON OF A-
I lunged at Dante.
"DANTE!!!!!!!"
