'No'

Chapter 36:

(Ella's POV)

I felt free looking at the view like this. The world looked somewhat different, it looked smaller. Maybe that's just the immortal now inside me, knowing that a lifetime is just so short now.

"You weren't meant to have this life" her murmured underneath his breath before I turned my head to look at him. He was leaning on the side admiring the view along side me when he took my hand and locked or fingers together.

"I know" i replied as he lifted up our hands up to his lips, pressing a kiss on the back of my hand. We both looked back at the view when Dylan's phone started buzzing meaning he had to let go of my hand.

"Hello?" he asked staying still. I decided to give him some privacy and walk to the other end of where we were stood and take in the view from there.

"What do you mean he's coming here from Bora Bora?" he said sounding annoyed.

"turned ... yes ... no not normally ... you know all of this" he sounded like he was getting agitated over something but i couldn't work out what. I turned around and saw he him pacing forwards and backwards as he carried on. I

"No we won't ... no ... not happening" he said practically shouting down the phone,

"Let's play a game, shall we?' the voice I heard when I was at Starbucks. I looked around to see if the voice had a body but it was only me and Dylan here. I turned around to face the view as Dylan carried on with the phone.

"Who are you?" I asked not loud enough for Dylan to hear me but loud enough to make a point.

"That's part of the game your going to want to play" the voice said deviously.

"Well what if I don't want to play?" I asked wondering if this conversation with the male voice would ever end.

"I'm sorry but that's non negotiable" the voice stated sounding please with himself.

"So what's the game?" I asked giving in

"Go to Dylan's parents tonight" the voice demanded. I looked towards Dylan and he seemed to be in deep conversation with someone.

"Dad ... No don't put mom on ... We're not coming tonight ... no" he argued. I turned away and questioned the voice.

"Why would I go there?" I asked the voice looking out into the distance.

"Because Dylan does not want to go" the voice said. I decided to ignore the voice and his 'games' and walk up to Dylan to try and get him off the phone.

"We won't be there either because we're out ... uh" he said looking at me as I wrap my arms around his neck bringing myself closer to him. I took the phone as we stood staring at each other. I ended the call and smiled.

"Sorry did you want to carry on that conversation?" I asked smiling at his reaction.

"Actually no, my granddad's back in town and they want us to be at this meal tonight" he explained. I was actually pleased we weren't going, not only because I am rebelling against the voice but meeting the granddad is nerve-racking.

"And you don't want to see him?" I asked wondering whether or not I should listen to the voice.

"No, we don't get along" he answered making it harder for me.

"Does your sister and your folks feel the same?" I asked trying to get some information just in case the voice could be one. He huffed a little before he spoke, he must really have some deep feelings about his granddad and not some positive ones at that.

"No, You could say i'm the black sheep of the family when it comes this subject" he explained as he put his hand on my cheek making me blush.

"I think we should go." I said making my mind up, he looked surprised by my response.

"Why?" He asked bewildered.

"Dylan you can't hide away from your family and it looks like you're running." I stated not actually answering him, I didn't want to lie to him or tell him the truth, telling him that I had a voice in the back of my head, I'd sound schizophrenic.

"Anyway It would be nice to meet more of your family, to get to know more about you." I said.

"Trust me I can tell you anything you want to know, you don't need them for that." He said before he kissed me on the forehead to pull me away from the view.

"Where are you going?" I asked as he pulled me along gently. He stopped and looked into my eyes like he was awaiting something.

"Your eyes are back to normal." he stated. I immediately touch the top of my cheeks surprised by what he said.

"They are?" I asked happy to hear him say that. He nodded at my question as I pushed my hair away from my face. I practically ran from the balcony to find a mirror and as we got to a corridor and found one, I saw my eyes had become the same color. I grinned as I saw Dylan in the reflection.

"I look normal." I commented turning around to face him. He took my hand and placed a gentle kiss on top of it, his swift action making me blush.

"You look beautiful." He said as I took his hand and locked our fingers together.
