Chapter 7

*Austin's POV*

I was out of breath, i was extremely glad that michaela listened to me and left the door open, who knows what would have happened. Michaela seemed scared, she stared into my eyes with worry and curiosity hoping that i would give her an explanation soon.

She screamed at me

"Austin! What the hell?!?!"

I had no response, my focus was on catching my breath and zoning back to reality.

Michaela stood there with her arms crossed and a frown on her face, she reminded of my mom when she got mad at me.

"Austin! I'm waiting!"

She was really worried about this, i had to give her an explanation soon or she would probably kill me.

" i was almost killed"

Her eyes widened and she brought her hand over her mouth to cover her shocked reaction.

"Austin! What do you mean you almost got killed? this isnt a game, you better not be fucking with me right now!!"

She was very scared, i was quite surprised to hear her cursing, she seemed like the type of girl that would never dare say a swear word. i saw a few tears stream down her face.

"It's okay, dont cry, nothing happened to me."

She responded in pure anger

"BUT SOMETHING COULD HAVE HAPPENED DONT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?!?!"

She was right, what if she didnt have her phone? What if she was asleep? What if she didnt leave the door open? What would have happened?

"Tell me what happened Austin!"

Her voice was a little more calm now, i gave her a hug in reassurance that i was okay. We then headed to the couch and took a seat, she anxiously stared at me waiting for me to tell her what had ocurred.

I took a deep breath and looked at her right in the eyes.

"It was harley."

she seemed confused

"What do you mean it was harley, what did she do?"

"She has brothers, bad brothers! Brothers that wouldnt mind killing someone for hurting their sister."

There was a slight silence before she gestured her hand telling me to go along with the story.

"They said she was devastated and crying because i dumped her so she sent them to teach me a lesson."

"Wait, what do you mean "they said" did you talk to them?"

"They approached me as i was walking home."

I went on telling her what had happened.

*flashback*

I was on my way home from michaela's house, it was a bit cold so i had my hood on and my hands in the pockets of my sweater. As i continued walking i began feeling an uncomftorable presence walking behind me, i didnt pay much mind to it so i proceeded with my walk. I slightly began increasing my speed to avoid this awkward presence, as i walked faster, so did the mystery person, i could hear the footsteps, it sounded like there were multiple people behind me. With every step i took my speed kept increasing, before i knew it i was running away from them. They ran after me, the darkness in this block was pitch black, there were no street lights and i couldnt see where i was going, i must have come across a dead end because before i knew it i was up against a wall with 3 big men with tattoos all over their body staring down at me.

One of the guys spoke

"So, you're the famous Austin Mahone?"

I was frightened, but i tried to show no sign of weakness or fear.

"Who's asking?!?!" I spat

Another one of the guys looked at me with a freaky smile

"Oh, we have a feisty one here, dont we superstar?"

I looked at him with disgust in my eyes as i tried to fight back, it was pointless, i was no match for these guys.

"Who are you guys and what do you want?"

The tallest and frankly the scariest looking of all the three guys responded.

"Were here to teach you what happens to guys who mess with our little sister?"

I stayed strong, trying not to show fear even though this guy was as scary as they got, he was about 6 feet tall, long hair, tattoos all over his body, including his face. It was very dark so I couldnt catch a good glimpse of all his tattoos but i could see a teardrop right under his eye, i'm no genius but im pretty sure that means he killed someone.

I responded to him as the other 2 guys held me against the wall.

"Ok? And what does your sister have to do with me?"

He laughed

"Funny you should ask mahone, i'm pretty sure you know my sister, her name is harley, and she is at home devastated that you broke her heart, now, is that true?"

i now realized that this all had to do with harley, wow! Cant she just let go?

I responded

"its not my fault your sister's a little slut!"

My comment angered this guy, he tightly grabbed my neck and punched me in the stomach causing me to grunt, still grabbing my neck tightly he leaned closer to my face as i was still pinned on the wall by the other 2 guys.

"You watch very carefully how you talk about my sister because next time, i'll kill you."

I could tell this guy wasnt joking, he meant business. I held myself back from saying anything else.

I kept trying to loosen the grip of the 2 guys holding me to the wall but they were too strong. I had to think of something quick before they started to get violent.

The big guy, was still gripping my neck, he balled his other hand into a fist and tried to head for my face, before he reached my face i took my only way out, i lifted my foot and gave him a hard kick right in the crotch. His hand removed from my neck and he kneeled down with his hands in his crotch trying to ease the pain, the other 2 guys released me and went to make sure he was okay, i took this opportunity and i made a run for it.

The big guy was on the floor, screams of pain escaped his mouth as he looked at the other 2 guys.

"YOU IDIOTS! Don't just stand there, get him!"

The other 2 guys quickly stood up and headed my way. I had gotten a good head start so they were about 2 blocks away. My house was too far to run to right now so i immediately thought of michaela. I stopped and hid behind a tree and pulled out my phone to text michaela telling her to leave the front door open. God i sure hope she reads the message. I could hear the guys getting closer so i made a run for it again. I was about a block away from michaela's house, i could see a light reflecting from what appeared to be her living room window, i hope that meant she's still awake and i really hope her parents arent there. The guys werent in sight so i kept running, i finally made it to her house, i ran up the drive way to her front door, i turned the knob in hopes that the door would be unlocked. To my luck she left the door open, i ran in as fast as i could and i locked the door behind me. Michaela was standing there alone in her pajamas looking at me all worried.

*end of flashback*

As i finished telling michaela what happened she grew more impatient and worried.

"Austin! They could have killed you!!"

"But they didn't!" I spat

She stood up from the couch and headed to the kitchen in disbelief. I could hear her crying, i didnt mean to make her this upset.

I stood up from the couch and followed her, she was sitting down on a stool with her upper body over the counter as she cried. I quietly approached her and put my hand on her back trying to calm her down, i leaned over and whispered in her ear.

"Dont cry, its okay, nothing happened, i'm okay now, thanks to you."

This slightly calmed her down, she looked up at me with a light smile on her face, i wiped the tears from her face and wrapped my arms around her. She eventually hugged me back as she stood from the stool, her breath was easing and becoming steady.

*michaela's POV*

I gave in to Austin's hug, the last thing i wanted to do was argue with him after what had just happened. As we continued hugging i lay my head on his chest, i could hear his heart beat. I stood on my tippytoes trying to reach Austin's face, i left a light kiss on his cheek and whispered "i'm glad you're okay."

Austin looked down at me, his towering figure standing in front of my smaller figure. He cupped my face in his hands and pecked my lips.

"I'm okay because of you. Thank You."
