After what appeared to be forever, the school day finally came to an end, i picked up my stuff and headed to meet danielle outside -our classes are right next door-
I waited outside and she finally stepped out.
"took you long enough" i teased
"shut up!" she joked back
I'm so glad to have my best friend again, i honestly could not imagine my life without danielle.
We started walking out of the school until i surprisingly feel a pair of warm hands wrap around my waist, i look back and it was Austin.
"hey babe, how about i give you and your friend a ride home?" he asked
i look over at Danielle, i could sense she was uncomftorable, but she just gave me a warm smile.
"its fine Austin." Danielle responded
"you and michaela go right ahead i have..um stuff to do."
"i'll text you later michaela."
Austin looks at me and i turn to danielle, she just gives me an assertive smile showing me that she'll leave me and Austin alone, oh how i just love Danielle.
After Danielle walks off Austin questions me
"i see she still doesnt really like the fact you and me are dating huh?"
i look at him "its kind of hard for her to get used to it but shes more accepting of it now."
"thats good." he smiles
We walk over to the student parking lot hand in hand and suddenly it grows quiet, i find myself thinking about that text message Harley sent me this morning, im not exactly sure what shes capable of but i hope she doesnt try to hurt me. My eyes are filled with worry and it seems as if though Austin knows because at that moment he squeezes my hand tighter and pulls me closer to him.
"everything alright michaela, you seem a bit lost in your thoughts?" he questions
i dont wanna lie and tell him everything's ok but i also dont wanna worry him. My mind is spinning until i finally just do what my instincts tell me.
"im fine Austin." i fake smile
His face seems unsure but i try my best to make my answer seem believable.
As were walking i begin having second thoughts, i reach into my pocket to get my phone and suddenly my pocket feels empty! CRAP! i must have left my phone in 6th period while i was texting danielle in class.
"Austin wait!" i almost yell releasing his hand from my hold
"what happened?" he asks worried
i panick "i think i left my phone in my 6th period and i need to go get it."
"its ok michaela, come, ill go with you." he smiles and takes my hand
As we're walking back in the school we pass the cafeteria and i catch a glimpse of Harley with her friends, she manages to make eye contact with me and Austin and she gives us both a dirty look. I just look the other way, Austin then leans in to whisper in my ear "just ignore her, shes crazy."
i cant help but giggle.
As we reach my class i can look in through the little window and i see Mr. Martin sitting on his desk on the phone, he glimpses over to the door and sees me by the window, he then signals me to come in.
"Want me to go in with you?" Austin asks
"no, its fine, i shouldnt be long and besides, Mr.Martin is a bit strict." i shrug
"ok, ill be waiting for you." Austin smirks, i just blush and walk in my class closing the door behind me.
*Harley's POV*
This is my chance! Michaela, went into her class and Austin is just standing there alone.
"im going for it." i whisper to Katelyn
"dont you think you're overreacting just a little?" she asks
"pfft no! listen. that stupid girl took my boyfriend and then she had the nerve to call me out in front of the whole school, im not just gonna let her get away with it." i spat back at her
Katelyn just sighs "Harley, theres so many other hot guys in the school, why dont you date Robert or Zach?"
"Because i dont want Robert or Zach, and quite frankly i dont want Austin either, i just want to show that little slut who she's messing with, so are you gonna help me or not?" i ask
"ugh fine Harley, i'll help you." Katelyn gives up
"good, now go make sure that the coast is clear and just text me."
Katelyn listens and she goes out of the cafeteria to make sure that only Austin is in the hallway, i can see Austin from a distance but i wanna make sure no one else is there so i can go for my plan.
As i wait my phone finally vibrates and its a text from katelyn
From: Katelyn
hes the only one in the hall and michaela is still in her class.
i text her back
'okay now make sure you have a good view so you can snap the picture when its time.'
As im walking out into the hallway i get another text from katelyn
From: Katelyn
'ok, got it'
Ok, everything is set, now here's the time to execute my plan.
i see Austin looking down at his phone, i begin walking over to him until im standing right in front of him.
he looks at me and his expression changes, he looks mad
"What do you want Harley?" he spat
"damn! i just wanna talk austin, we're still friends right?"
"actually no, we're not, now leave!"
i do the exact opposite and i get closer, he tries to push me away but i dont let him
"you dont really want me to go, do you?" i whisper in his ear
"Harley, get out of my fucking sight now!" i could see his jaw tencing, but he still didnt frighten me, i knew he wouldnt have the nerve to push me away, let alone hit me
i kept getting closer, carresing his cheek as my face started getting closer to his. He looked away and stepped out of my way.
"Didnt you hear me?! i said get the fuck out of here Harley, i want nothing to do with you!"
i laughed "oh Austin, i always liked it when you got mad at me, you were always so hot and that made our sex so much better."
His lips pressed into a thin line, he looked furious.
"dont you miss it Austin? i know you enjoyed it." i said in a soft voice attempting to get closer to him again.
He stayed quiet as i approached him again, he didnt move. I felt myself getting closer and closer. Before i knew it our faces were inches apart and my hands wrapped around his neck. he tried to move but before he could i went for it and planted a kiss right on his lips. When i tried to deepen the kiss i felt Austin's hands pushing me away.
He looked at me, wiping his lips with his hand, it looked like anger was passing through his veins.
"DONT YOU EVER GET NEAR ME AGAIN, AND TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, NO. I DONT MISS IT, WHY WOULD I MISS BEING WITH SOMEONE AS TRASHY AND SLUTTY AS YOU!"
His words didnt hurt me. So he was just wasting his breath.
I simply laughed and started walking away. i turned back and saw michaela had finally come out of her class, i dont think she saw me but it doesnt matter. By the time i reach Katelyn Austin and Michaela are gone from view.
"Did you get it?" i ask Katelyn
she smiles showing me her phone, "got it."
I look at her phone and there it is! yes! in my hands is a clear picture of Austin and I kissing, i look over at Katelyn and smile
"oh katelyn, now that i have this picture in my possesion, theres no way that relationship is gonna last."
