The random guy immediately lets go of me, he shows signs of fear. i look closely at him and it looks like hes shaking. not shaking as in because hes cold but as in hes frightened.

Austin gestures for the music to be turned off. suddenly i could feel the tension, people ran from inside the house to see what was going on. in a matter of seconds we had just become the center of attention.

"i. i didnt know that was your girl bro." the guy stutters

I just stand there in between all this not knowing what to do. i look over at Austin and he looks angry, annoyed, furious.

"michaela! come over here." he demands

i ignore his tone and immediately do as im told, the last thing i wanna do is upset him. i run over and stand behind him, he looks over at me and i shyly smile trying to ease the tension but he maintains a blank expression.

He looks around to everyone watching us and his jaw tences.

"dont any of you have better stuff to do, go back inside! i have shit to take care of!"

immediately people start going back inside the house, whispers are heard everywhere, Austin can clearly hear but he just ignores them. i catch a glimpse of danielle and alex who are also walking in with confused looks on their faces


i try to get lost in the crowd and walk inside too but its no use, Austin has his eyes locked on me.

Once everyone is inside he redirects his attention to the guy whos name i dont even know.

"austin, i swear i didnt know she was your girl bro." he almost sounds like hes begging for mercy and austin hasnt even done anything

Austin walks over to him and the guy doesnt move, he stays there just as shocked as i am for whats gonna happen.

Before i know it, Austin's fist comes full contact with this guy's face knocking him straight to the ground.

"Austin, what are you doing?!" i scream in worry that this will go any further

"MICHAELA! BE QUIET AND STAY THERE!" he yells back at me

why is he even mad at me? i didnt do anything. i see him punch the guy repeatedly showing no mercy. He just takes it and doesnt fight back and when he does Austin is too quick.

i cant take this, his nose is bleeding and Austin is still going at it, i run over to him, tears almost in my eyes.

"Austin, stop! please! youre hurting him." i cry

"thats what he deserves for trying to take advantage of you!" Austin looks at him and tries to hit him again but i hold him back

"michaela! let go of me!" he yanks my hand away from him and i almost fall

at this point, tears are streamimg down my cheeks and im on my knees begging him to stop.

Austin looks at me and his darkened eyes soften

"its not worth it" i whisper "im ok"

"are you sure?" he asks coming to his feet and helping me stand

i give him a reassuring nod wiping the tears from my face.

He looks down at the guy and once again gets down to his level. im worried that he may punch him again but i see him tugging at the collar of his shirt making him stand to his level.

"listen you little prick, if you ever pull a stunt like that again you wont be so lucky."

i swear i can hear the guy gulping and almost choke on his own spit.

"you're lucky i dont kill you right here!" he lets go of his shirt and pushes him away causing him to almost fall on the grass. Hes left with a black eye, a bloody nose and a warning.

"now get the fuck out of my house before i throw you out of here myself."

He immediately runs away almost tripping on his own two feet.

i stand there watching their encounter and i myself cant recognize Austin. its as if my cute corny boyfriend has dissapeared and was replaced with this street tough bad boy!

then it hits me

this is the Austin people are scared to mess with.

this is the bad boy that every girl at school druels over.

this is the guy who everyone respects.

this is Austin Carter Mahone.
