what had literally just happened!? one minute were taking cute pictures in a photo booth and the next we're being mobbed by teenage girls. well duh, what am i thinking, im going out to a public mall with a teen pop icon what am i supposed to expect? i cant believe i didnt see this coming before, how stupid could i be? i should of suggested we go somewhere private... so i guess this is my fault too. austin remained focused on the road with, his face showed worry and frustration.

"are you ok?" i asked softly, barely loud enough to be heard

"yeah michaela, im used to it, its nothing completely new, are you ok?"

"yeah im fine, just a little claustrophobic thats all."

"ARE YOU SURE?"

"yeah austin im ok, seriously"

"i thought something was gonna happen to you... i was worried michaela, you're not used to this and i didnt think this through im sorry."

his voice was soft, he almost sounded guilty for what happened, what? he was worried about me? holy cow! this was news, austin mahone caring about someone but himself? SHOCKER!


"austin its not your fault, you cant control your fans, before any of that happened i was actually enjoying myself."

a trace of smile became visible upon austin's lips, same to me as memories from the photo booth passed through my head.

"i should of expected this too, i know you're very well known, especially here, so dont feel sorry, it really isnt your fault."


"michaela, i really wanted today to be special, yesterday we got kind of interupted so i wanted today to be better."

"but it is better austin, dont feel bad....and hey its only 4:30, i gotta be home by 9 so we have time to make this day great."

a look of excitement and anticipation came upon his face.

"i know where we should go!"

"where?!"

"its a surprise, you'll see."

was this really happening? i cant believe that austin was gonna surprise me, i dont know what to expect, should i be excited or worried, at this point i didnt know what to expect from austin, but internally im hoping for something great.

he continued driving, eyes strictly on the road and a huge smile on his face, my curiosity was gonna get the best of me, now that we're alone i have so many questions for him.

"so you're really not gonna tell me?"

a huge grin came across his face as he shook his head "nope, im not gonna tell you."

"but austin..." i sounded so whiny, so childish but i couldnt help it i wanted to know

"nope im still not gonna tell you michaela so dont keep trying, my lips are sealed."

damn! hes really not gonna tell me, im so curious i really wanna know but hes so stuck up on not telling me ugh!

"jerk!"

he laughed "you can say anything but i still wont tell you."

we were on the road for what appeared to be forever, i think its because im so anxious to know where we're going. it was so quiet, the silence was awkward and unbearable.

"did you like harley?"

a sudden change of expression was seen on his face, he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, he was quiet for a bit seeming like he didnt wanna give me an answer so i just let it go, a moment of silence passed

"i didnt like her, she was just there to satisfy me when i needed her, i never had any feelings for her whatsoever."

"oh, so she was just there for sex?"

"yes." his voice sounded low and almost apologetic, he didnt look at me at all, he kept his eyes focused on the road.

i looked down and played with my fingers, not wanting to look him in the eyes

"how many girls have you been with?"

"WHY DO YOU CARE?!" he spat

his lips stiffened into a thin line and his jaw tenced as he grabbed tight hold of the steering wheel, it looks like hes getting frustrated and i didnt wanna ruin his mood especially when he said he was gonna surprise me

"im sorry, just forget it."

"good!"

the rest of the drive was silent and i could feel the tension between us, i felt so stupid for asking what i did, my last intension was to make him uncomftorable, let alone mad, i always had a tendency to ask things that dont apply to me.

we finally pulled in to what appeared to be a lake, the scenery was beautiful, it was also very discrete, it didnt seem like alot of people were there.
he stepped out of the car and walked over to open my door for me, i still didnt have the nerve to look him in the eyes.
i walked further in the lake admiring the beauty of it, trees everywhere taller than anything ive ever seen, a series of leaves fallen beautifully on the grass, the lake was large and blue and there was a variety of ducks along with a few people fishing.
it was extravagent

"so how do you like it?" austin came up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist.

suddenly i felt like all my worries were gone, like i had been taken into another world and everything was no longer important, it seemed like this place also made austin happy, his mood changed drastically, its like he forgot about that little incident of my curious mind. i bet this place has some sort of sentimental meaning to him.

he held my hand as we walked further into this place, not a trace of anyone that might recognize him, everyone kept to themselves.

he walked me over to a big tree that was located right next to the lake, the tree had a tire swing hung from over one of the branches, it looked like something from some sort of fairy tale.

"its beautiful austin."

"not as beauiful as you."

i blushed at his cheesy yet cute comment. and i leaned up and gave him a soft kiss on the lips, he wrapped his arms around me and smiled.

"how do you even know about this place, its soo private and beautiful."

his face suddenly went from happiness to sadness and sorrow, he kept his head down not wanting to look at me.

"my dad used to bring me here all the time as a kid." his voice was soft

"and he doesnt anymore?" i asked curiously

"no." his answer was blunt and straight forward

"why not?" here i go again with my curiosity, oh god!

"he- he passed away a long time ago."
