"Oh my god!" I jolted up from my sleep and looked around. I turned my head and saw Zoey standing there in her pjs with her hair pulled back in a messy bun, starring at me. "What?" I groaned, closing my eyes and flopping down on the bed when I felt a body next to mine. My eyes snapped opened and I came face to face with a sleeping Scott.
I jumped off the bed so fast that I tripped over my backpack that was laying on floor, and landing on my butt. I moaned as Zoey hurriedly came to my side and helped me get back on my feet. "Oh my God!" Zoey screeched quietly so she wouldn't wake Scott up. I blushed and looked down at Scott. He was topless, on wearing his jeans he was wearing the night before with his red boxers peeking out. His jet black hair sticking up everywhere.
"Did you guys..?" Zoey trailed off, looking at Scott as he shifted. "What? No!" I exclaimed, holding my hands up while shaking my head frantically. She sighed in relief. "But we did kiss a little..." I trailed off, looking down at the floor like it was the most interesting thing right now. "No," Zoey said, "Oh my God. No way!"
"You know, you say 'oh my God' a lot," I said, laughing nervously as I looked up at her, blushing. She grabbed my hands as she jumped up and down giggling. "Shh!" I shushed her. I grabbed my phone as I dragged her out of my room and down into the kitchen. There was a note on the counter. 'Honey, your father had a last minute meeting in a different state and wanted me to go with him. We will be home on Monday. Make sure you stay with Zoey and or Scott until we get back and take your medicine. Love you lots! xoxo -Mom.'
I sighed as I threw the note away and looked at Zoey. She was still bubbly and jumping around. "My parents went somewhere and won't be back until Monday so you'll be staying here with my all weekend," I said as I grabbed some bread and put it in the toaster. I went to the cabinet and took out the jar of peanut butter and a knife from the tableware drawer. "Okay!" she said as she gave me a toothy grin.
I laughed at her expression as I jumped onto the counter. "So, what made you guys kiss?" she asked gingerly as she hopped onto the island cross-legged. I chuckled and told her everything that happened as I smeared the peanut butter with a knife on my toast and made Zoey some too. "So," she started after I finished telling her everything, "how the hell did he get out of the fight with the wolf with only some bruises and scratches?" I sighed, "I honestly don't know! And that's what's bothering me. He said that he would tell me in the morning, but I'm afraid he won't tell me the truth."
"I bet he will," she said, biting into her toast, "I mean he like never lies to you so..." "I sure hope so..." I mumbled as I looked at the clock on my microwave. It was 8:30 A.M. I groaned. "Why'd you wake me up so early?" I moaned as I glared at Zoey. "Because I like to annoy you," she replied as she slid of the island and into the living room.
I stuck my tongue out at her as I hopped off the counter and followed her. When I got into the doorway separating the living room and kitchen, someone put their arm out, stopping me. "Hey," Scott said causally, coming into full view. I smiled at him as I backed up into the kitchen, letting him through.
"Hi," I said as he got a bowl out of the cabinet. I watched him as he made a bowl of cereal. "Take a picture, it'll last longer," he laughed, snapping me out of my trance. Smirking, I took my phone and took a photo of him. "There," I said, my smirk growing wider. He chuckled at me as he started to eat his cereal.
We sat in silence, the only noise was coming from the TV in the living room and the sound of him chewing. "How did you get out of the fight with the wolf with barely nothing?" I finally asked him. He stopped chewing and looked at me. He sighed as he put his bowl in the sink. "I-I don't know how to tell you without you flipping out," he hesitated. "Hey I'm going to Dunkin' Donuts, you want something?" Zoey hollered from the living room.
