I had no childhood... Between my dad's fighting lessons, history of our pack, and my mom's piano lessons, ballet lessons, archery lessons, and history of our tribe- I had no time for fun.

I was a daddy's girl, because my mom was the strict on me. My mom wanted me to be perfect, but my dad was comfortable with whatever I did. My mom was Native American and my dad was African American. I mostly look like my dad, with caramel skin and full lips. I got my big hazel green eyes, cute little nose, and long raven hair from my mom. I don't know why my mom and dad never had any more kids and I didn't think to ask them.

By the time I was 16, I turned into my wolf, Athena. I love her, because we tend to be on the same page, while others seem yo fight with their wolves. I can always count on her. She's completely black with red eyes, taking the trait from my father- the Alpha. By my 17 birthday, my mother died by a rogue, he still haven't been found. I continued all my lessons until I officially became Alpha and my best friend Cathy became Beta. Cathy has been my best friend since birth, just like our parents.

"Finally! I feel the power!", Cathy yelled holding up her arms and I laughed

"Okay Zeus, calm yourself", I said patting her back. Those were the exact words we said the day we became Alpha and Beta.

Because my parents didn't have any other kids, Cathy and I are like sisters and her little brother Luca is like my little brother. He's totally sweet and a little gentleman. Cathy, unlike Luca, is a trouble maker. Some of the pack members used to think that she was irresponsible and crazy, but now they love her.

"Good morning Alpha!", she yelled kicking my door open and I growled "come on grumpy birthday girl"

"If it's my birthday then I shouldn't have at least ten more minutes of sleep!", I whined and she pulled the cover off of me

"If it's my birthday then I shouldn't have at least ten more minutes of sleep!", I whined and she pulled the cover off of me

"Okay first off, because your father was so sweet he let you sleep till afternoon", she explained and I smiled- this is why I love dad "and second, can you at least wear some pjs when you sleep!"

"No can do, you know I'm more comfortable this way", I replied and she shook her head. I always sleep in my undies, nothing more and nothing less. I sat up, crossed my legs, and started stretching

"What's on the agenda?", I asked getting out of bed and started searching for today's outfit

"Dad handled all of them", she spoke excited and I groaned- I hate when he did that "which means we can have sister time!"

"I have to exercise, then we'll go to the mall", I stated annoyed, she nodded and skipped out the room. I love Cathy, but compared to me she is a girly girl. She loves going to the salon, mall, and boy watching. Yes, I said boy watching, she is a strange one, but knows when it's time for pack business. I showered, making sure my hair was washed then dried. I put on lotion then my clothes. For my afternoon exercise, I wore black and red yoga pants, red sports bra, black converses, and tied my hair into a ponytail. I jogged down the stairs, seeing my dad cooking breakfast, Cathy eating a blueberry muffin happily and Luca coloring in his book.

"Good morning!", I yelled walking in and they jumped

"Good morning, Ariel", my father spoke in his booming voice and hugged me "happy birthday, baby girl"

"Thanks, daddy", I replied smiling

"Uh Pops? I think your pancakes are burning?", Cathy mumbled through her muffin and he jumped right back to the stove, cursing under his breath. I chuckled, got some orange juice and sat down

"Happy birthday, Alpha Ariel!", Luca smiled brightly and I ruffled his hair

"Thanks, little man", I replied smiling back. After breakfast, I went to the gym and on the way there all my member said "Good Morning Alpha" and "Happy Birthday Alpha"

"Out of the way! The birthday princess has arrived!", Cathy announced as we entered the gym and some of the pack members cheered

"I'm too old to be a princess", I replied as we walked in "I prefer Queen"

"Well", she gasped dramatically and placed her hand on her heart "someone's getting too grown"

"I'm 29, I am grown", I corrected her and she held up her hands "now let's go, so we can get this shopping thing over with"

"I don't know what's your problem, shopping is everything", she commented as we got into fighting stance

"Not for everyone, drama queen", I said and she came at me with the first hit.....
