How would you feel about a regular fiction book written by me?-
-The drive was beautiful. There was snow on the branches everywhere we went. The glisten white powder just seemed to make me happy. I was warm, but I knew for a fact that it was freezing outside.
We ended up driving for a while, and I really have no idea how much time had passed, but we pulled into a driveway. There was a house here that was humungous. It looked homely with the brown and red brick mixing together, and the tan siding. It just looked comforting. But I was utterly confused as to why we are here of all places.
Luke turned to me and grabbed my hand. "Elle so I figured since we both like each other why not set up a date," he said. "And so I was thinking since I really don't know you a whole lot that I would cook us dinner, but it turns out I'm not a chef. So I thought of something I liked. I hope you like this too." With that he let go of my hand and got out of the car.
I got out of the car and followed him to his trunk. There he pulled out two sets of ski pants and jackets. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I watched him walk towards the glowing house.
The front door was open making the light inside glow, but the glass door was closed and fogged over preventing me from looking inside. Luke opened the door and willingly walked in.
Out of no where this old lady emerged and this smile made her eyes sparkle, and the old woman looked so excited.
"Luke it's been so long!" The woman cheered with an Australian accent evident with every word she spoke.
"I know grams it's been too long," he sighed.
"It really has but hey don't worry about that worry about this beautiful young lady," she said gesturing to me. I walked inside more feeling awkward.
"Grams this is Elle, and Elle this is my Grams," Luke said introducing us. So this was Luke's grandma.
"Hi Elle it's very nice to meet you I've heard so much about you!" She said giving me a hug.
"It's good to meet you too," I said quietly hugging her back.
I felt my anxiety kicking in again. My breathing was quickening, and the walls felt like they were closing in on each other. My stomach dropped and I felt like I was going to puke.
"Elle are you okay?" Luke asked his voice laced with worry. "Your face is white."
"Yea just my anxiety," I said quietly so only he would hear. He nodded instantly remembering.
"Okay well Grams we'll be in the coach house just call me if you need anything," Luke said taking my hand.
He lead the way through his grandmothers house, and out the back door. You could tell straight away that it was late. The sky was pitch black again, and all you could see were the stars shimmering. It was honestly effortlessly gorgeous.
We finally made our way into the coach house, and he handed me one of each of the ski jacket and pants.
"Put 'em on," he demanded. So I did. I put them on and waited for more instruction.
Luke grabbed my hand sending an electric shock throughout me. It happened every time he touched me. It made me happy. He forced me outside into the cold once again and he laid down in the snow.
His grandmothers backyard was huge. It was actually two combined into one, but there was another house that owned the other side.
I laid down beside him, and he cuddled with me as we looked up. We looked at the stars shimmering in the night sky. The effortlessly beautiful lights had me star struck.
"It's so beautiful," I breathe out.
"I know I thought so too," he said.
You could see both of our breathes in the cold bitter winter weather. It was like we were breathing out smoke from a cigarette by now.
"Hey Elle?"
"Yea Luke?"
"When you said you liked me did you really mean it?"
"Yea I did actually," I said getting a warm feeling in my stomach thinking about last Friday. "Whenever I'm around you I get this feeling in my stomach and it never goes away actually."
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He blurted out of no where.
"Yes," I said a smile forcing its way onto my face. The warm feeling in my stomach returned, and I loved the feeling. It was like a drug and I was addicted to it. I wanted to feel it over and over again.
"Good because there isn't another answer to that question," he said laughing.
"What do you mean by that?" I giggled.
"It means that if you said no I would have taken you hostage," he joked around causing me to laugh and a smile to appear on his face. He looked happy which was good to me.
"I have a question though?"
"Yea shoot me,"
"So if you previously lived in Australia then why does your grandma live here?"
