Hello all you pretty people! Thank you so much for giving this book a go, and hopefully it doesn't make you want to cringe, or hurl your phone at the wall, or cry.
I'm really excited about this book, and I hope you all are too!
I picture Danielle Campbell as Adelaide because, one I think she's gorgeous and two I think she's gorgeous. That is all I have to say about that.
Thanks so much again! Enjoy!

Adelaide

My lips were curled into a sardonic smirk, something I had managed to master over the many years. It was just one of my many god given talents. I had been told that my famous smirk could make even the calmest beings infuriated, I guess it was just that annoying. I, on the other hand, think it should be treasured and nurtured so it can bloom like the glorious flower that it is. So, obviously, I use it as much as I can.

But in my current situation, I don't think it's appreciated.

At the moment, my dumb ass was stuck between two pack warriors. And let me tell you, they were absolutely seething. Maybe insulting their alpha, wasn't such a good idea. I was just digging myself a bigger hole by using my smirk.

They were currently pacing around me, both creating a semi-circle. I got into a fighting stance, and looked at Broody out of the corner of my eye. Broody is the name that I gave to the warrior with black, curly hair, that wouldn't stay out of his eyes. His facial expression was almost like he was at a funeral, his lips pulled into a deep frown. I took a deep breath, and prepared myself for a tough battle. That I knew I was going to win.

Broody's left foot stepped forward just the slightest bit, so small that you could barely notice. But thankfully, with my enhanced hearing, I could hear the small shift in the brittle leaves underneath his black combat boots. Turning my body, so it was facing him more than the other warrior, he attacked. His fist shot out at inhuman speed, which I dodged with ease, his hand whistling past my ear. I grabbed the arm that was still in the air before he could retract it, and pushed it upward, until I heard a crack. He cried out, and sank to the floor, eyes blazing a bright, honey gold.

I could feel guilty later, after I take care of blondie. He was already approaching, and fast. Before I knew it, he had reached about a foot away from me and was already in full attack mode. I managed to dodge his punches, and block his kicks, but I will admit that I actually broke a sweat. I had to hand it to Blondie, he knew how to fight.

Before Blondie could throw another punch, I used a little boost from my wolf, and quickly round-house kicked him in the chest, knocking off his air. The incapacitation would only last for about fifteen seconds, since werewolves were quicker to heal and faster to regain their strength.

I gave one last look, as if to say sorry, and ran as fast as I could, leaving Broody clutching his arm, and Blondie with his hands at his throat, trying to regain his breath. I shot off like a bullet, staying in my human form. My wolf, Lila, was resting from a sixteen hour run that we had to do the day before. I feel bad for making her run so far and long, but we had crossed into two claimed territories on the way here, and ran into more pack warriors that I could count. Maybe I should get a map.

'You think?' Lila asked. I rolled my eyes, and told her to go back to sleep. She grumbled something incoherent, and I was about to call her out on it, when I suddenly noticed something.

I was going the wrong direction. The bus that I was supposed to get on was east, and right now, I was far west. I dodged a couple more trees that were in my path, and thought of a plan. What to do, what to do.
