"So what is it you wanted to say to me?" Farkel asked.
"I am not going to ask you to be my boyfriend silly."
"Oh." Farkel sounded disappointed.
"Farkel?"
"Yes Smackle?"
"Will you go on a milkshake date with me?" Smackle asked looking shy.
"Wait really?"
"Of course! I've been asking you since we were twelve."
"Huh that's true, well then yes I'd love too."
"Great!"
Farkel smiled he's been meaning to ask Smackle out but he could never work up the courage.

"Well it all started at the dance."
Lucas was looking at the table. The dance... Where he so carelessly let Riley choose. She was supposed to choose right. Lucas tears a piece off his cinnamon roll and puts it to his mouth fully aware he didn't want to hear what was coming next, as Riley continued, "I was confused. I didn't know how I felt. But then I went to ask dad for advice and jack was there, daddy let him give me advice. How can you like two people differently? He gave me an example about him, uncle Eric and Rachel. She loved uncle Eric as a brother, and him as a boyfriend. And that's where is became clear to me. I felt so much relief. I liked Charlie like a boyfriend and loved Lucas as a brother, or a friend since Auggie said he's my only brother," Riley laughs " I was glad you could always be in my life to talk to Lucas, I think that was one of the things I was most afraid of losing." Riley looked at Lucas and did her best not to look shy or stare too long but Lucas wouldn't look up from his dessert.
"Wow" Charlie interrupted, " you liked me for so long, why didn't you say anything?"
"I guess I wanted it to happen naturally, plus the guy is suppose to ask the girl out." She laughs.
Riley and Charlie continued their talk. Mean while Lucas forced himself to look at Maya. He needed to not look at Riley and Charlie, even if the masochist in him desperately wanted to.
"Hey" Lucas said.
"Hi"
"So Mmm are you going to eat your cinnamon roll? They are really good" Lucas smiled weakly.
"Yeah I can tell, you're a mess." Maya said with a laugh, grabbing her napkin and cleaning Lucas's face then holding his hands to clean them too. It felt weird to hold his hands, she looked up into his eyes and couldn't pull them away. What was he doing to her?
"Awwwww"
She pulls her eyes away from Lucas to see Riley smiling like a dummy, Charlie's arm around her.
"Awwww yourselves, look at you!" Lucas says with a laugh, he prayed only sounded fake to him, "I'll be back Maya, I should probably get water on these." He said lifting his hands in the air.

Stupid charlie! What did Riley see in him anyway! Lucas thought as he angrily washed his hands. He looked up at himself in the mirror, and what was that thing with Maya anyways, was he maybe feeling something? No he couldn't. As long as those eyes were blue and not chocolatey brown like Riley's eyes, then there'd be nothing there. Then Lucas realized why Charlie was so irritating, he was so much like Riley.... Which meant maybe just maybe Charlie and Riley were perfect for each other. What if this was their story not his? Fine then! He would do his best to really focus on the blonde beauty that is Maya.
