Sum: A little praise can go a long way when trying to turn Potter's into piles of goo.

(and I choose that as the picture because I couldn't think of anything better. Nor could I find anything. So random Drarry picture, yayyyyy!)

Draco stared blankly at the sheet in front of him. He leaned back in his library chair, wracking his brain. Yes, he could look up the answer, he was in the library after all, but he felt personally affronted at the very thought of having to look up an answer to a question they recently covered in Potions class.

Harry's eyes flicked up from his own homework, frowning at Draco around the muggle pencil hanging out of his mouth. Draco stared at something over his shoulder blankly. Harry waved a hand in front of his rivals face, and Draco blinked owlishly at him. They had somehow ended up sharing a table. Harry had just been doing his homework when Malfoy plopped down across and to the left of him, and said nothing.

Harry figured he was in one of his moods and ignored him. Harry hadn't felt like starting a fight at the moment.

"What do you want, Potter?" Draco glared at him, and Harry snorted, not at all intimidated. After six years of glares, he'd gotten used to them. He was pretty sure Malfoy used him as a test subject when it came to his glares now. The more Harry reacted, the better they were. Better to scare the younger years.

Hermione had always said he shouldn't believe in conspiracies. But she was planning to become the next Minister of Magic, he knew. His theories always had at least some fact behind them.

"What's wrong, Malfoy?" His curiosity getting the better of, he found himself asking the question before he realized fully what he was doing.

Malfoy snorted. "Go shove off, Potter!" Is what he meant to say. Though it came out sounding more like "I'm having trouble with a question." Draco didn't authorize that, but it was already out there. Shite.

It was Harry's turn to snort. "And I thought I'd never see the day." He murmured under his breath, before pulling the pencil out of his mouth and turning Draco's homework towards him, standing up and leaning over the desk slightly. "Number seventeen?" He asked, more musing than really asking. It was the only one unanswered out of the twenty questions.

Draco grabbed his paper back, away from Harry. "It's not yours, Potter! Keep your hands to yourself!" He glared. "I doubt you've finished it anyway, or if you even understand the questio-"

"It's gonna bubble." Harry cut in, not even looking up from the essay he had to write for Transfiguration.

"What?"

"It'll bubble, because of the overdose of bat hearts. Because of the acidic nature of the organ, it causes the potion to bubble." He repeated, glancing up at Malfoy once more, almost shyly now.

Draco stared blankly at Harry. He looked down again at his paper. Rereading the question, he looked back up at Harry with wide eyes, realizing the green-eyed boy was correct.

Draco sniffed, staring down at his quill, quickly and elegantly writing down the answer. "Very well, Potter. Thank you. That was actually...very helpful." He said, and if he hadn't glanced at Harry out of the corner of his eye in that moment he wouldn't have seen the light blush coloring the other boys face and neck. Draco's movements slowed and his head tilted slightly, fascinated by the red coloring Harry's skin.

Draco didn't know what over took him as he watched the color fade, slowly as he put away his things, his homework now completed. He realized he really wanted to see Potter blush again.

"I suppose I don't give you the credit you deserve. You're better than a lot of people give you credit for, actually."

There it was again! But it was a deeper red, this one spreading faster and even coloring his ears this time. Draco felt pride wash through him, and another emotion he couldn't identify. Nor did he wish to, if he was honest. It was too...fuzzy. To warm. Not nearly befitting of a Malfoy.

"T-Thank you, M-Malfoy." Harry said, coughing and clearing his throat.

Draco hardly stopped himself from beaming. All these years, he had been searching for Potter's weakness. The thing that left him useless, rendered him stunned and helpless to do anything. And after all this time he had found it by accident.

It was praise. Such a simple, common thing.

Draco smirked slightly. He wasn't going to admit to the rush of triumph and pride flowing through him upon realizing he was causing this. He was turning Potter into a stuttering mess. Not anyone else.

He wanted to cackle. But that would probably make Potter aware of what he was doing.

"Of course, Potter. It is only fair I place the credit where it is due. It would be unjust of me to do otherwise. I am only stating facts. You truly are worth more than what most think and assume. Though the petty opinions of most don't even apply to you, in my humble opinion."

He had reached fire-point. He thought he could make a potion with the heat coming off Harry's face in waves. He smirked in pleasure. Harry was doing little more than staring at him, stunned.

Draco nodded politely at Harry, before going to put the last of his books in his bag to leave. He missed the narrowing of Harry's bright green eyes, and the small growl that seemed to be coming off Harry. But that's all well and good. Better for Harry to attack.

Draco had just turned his back when he heard the sound of a chair scraping across the floor of the library. He just turned his head in time to see Harry right behind him, glare set in place, book raised high above his head.

He didn't have time to dodge out of the way before he was hit over the head roughly with the thick tomb in Potters hands, his head making a loud whack! sound that bounced off the walls. Draco then let out a high pitched "OW!" that he wouldn't ever admit to.

It was a good day.
