Chp 11: Thigh Hopes or High Slopes

James POV

     Con and I were already at school waiting for the other two. We didn't walk or drive together as usual today because Brad told us to leave without them since they might be late.

"What's taking so long..." I whined

"What if they're fucking each other right now, before school you know?!" Con teased

"Oh shut up!" I snapped, "its too early for intercourse at this stage in they're relationship."

"But still..its been only 3 and a half weeks...."

"THERE THEY ARE!!!" I interrupted as I made con jump a bit. Brad and tris walking ever so elegantly hand in hand towards us.

"Any slower please?!" Con joked causing me to laugh.

"Morning love birds!!" I smiled

"Morning!" Tris said

"Tris, you sound glum. What happened?"

" I'll tell you guys later."

"Ok"  con whispered

And with that, we made it to our first class. Music. We basically did nothing in class. Music class is more of a ' play an instrument while the teacher observes you' or 'teacher teaches you something or gives you a song to play as a group' kind of thing.

I smiled at con while tilting my head in Brads direction.

Brad was strumming his guitar, looking at Tris. Both seemed to be mouthing a song. Thigh hopes or high slopes or whatever they were trying to mouth. I did like the rhythm and chords of the song though.

It's really warming and satisfying to see Brad so happy. I've never seen him this content about something at school before. Mainly because of the bullies and jerks in this school.

*skip to lunch*

Lunch was the only time the four of us could actually have a full on convo without getting in trouble.

All four of us sat at the table where we all sat on ever since freshman year (besides Tristan), eating our lunches. I asked Tristan if he can help us catch up on some of the things that have been going on.

"Erm yea, so I came out to my parents. Let's just say that I got a negative & positive response...." Tris paused

All listening but Brad looking only at Tristan.

"Continue" con nodded

"...my mom understood and accepted me for who I've become. Well my father, uh yea. We're not on the best terms right now.  So I'm living at Brad's house for now. Until both ends meet with my father and I"

" I'm sorry to hear that man.." I said while getting up to give a tris a hug. Connor doing the same.

*skip to after school*

I sat at my desk, doing some biology homework. I paused as I heard my phone buzzed.

Text message from Tris:
Guys!! I need ur help pls!

Tris made a group chat with con and I, wonder what for.

James:
Yea?

Tris:
So,, I wanna take Brad out on a date and idk where

Con:
Don't go to the beach or restaurant bc those options r way to cliché

James:
Oh con ur alive

Con:
Shut up

Tris:
Then where should I take him then?! I want him to remember it

James:
Amusement park!!!

Con:
Concert

Tris:
I'd have to go with amusement park bc we get to do a lot of stuff and have so much fun there

Con:
What kind of stuff ;)

Tris:
Nah mate, too early for that

James:
HA I TOLD YOUUUUU CONNOR BEAR.

oh typical me.. I like being right..always.

Con:
Like I said before,, shut up and don't call me tht

Tris:

James:

Con:
K byeeeeeeeee! Make sure to buy condoms for the date!!

Tris:
Oh con...

I put down my phone so I won't get distracted. Back to biology....
