Lost In His Eyes - Jakob Delgado

Chapter 4 - Deep Waters

Once I had jumped out of the shower I put my coral bathers on whilst picking out some high waisted black shorts and a plain cropped t-shirt before leaving my hair as it was. I decided to not wash my hair yet as I thought it would be best to wash it after swimming.
I grabbed the sunscreen from my white wooden draws and made my way downstairs and out the door to the pool where  the boys were waiting for me. I put the sunscreen down in the shade as well as my phone as I took my top off leaving just my bather top and shorts on and as I did so I could feel cold drips run down my back as Jakob was apply sunscreen around my shoulders before slowly making his way down to my waist. As his hands made their way down my back, tingling in my fingers and toes was immediate. I quickly snapped back around and  dapped some sunscreen on the top of Jakob's adorable noes that began to flare. He laughed and chased me to the edge of the pool where he picked me up and held me over the edge. I held onto Jakob tighter then I ever had before hoping he wouldn't throw me in. He then pulled me in tight as my eyes began to squeeze tighter as I knew I was going in any minute but instead he moved his face close to my ear and whispered "Cara I.." Jakob then threw me in over the edge mid sentence, as I could hear the boys still laughing and goofing off before I made it to the surface of the water. I quickly jumped out basically peeling off the wet shorts stuck my legs before running towards Jakob who had his back to me talking to Chris. I hugged him as he then became completely drenched "You should know better then to mess with me" I said as I smirked at Jakob. His eyes then travelled up and down my body and he bite his lip once again before jumping into the pool. He then held out his hand signally me to pull him up but this was my mistake as when I did I was pulled right back under with him. As I resurfaced Jakob held me in tight kissed my lips softly whilst the boys weren't looking. He wiped the water away from my eyes as Ethan then jumped in next to us. "Guys what are you doing? Swim!" Ethan said as Chris splashed Jakob.

"We are" Jakob replied laughing as he splashed Chris back.

After spending a few hours by the pool it was time to get out and get ready for our family barbecue tonight.

Our families were as close as we were and they were basically inseparable as our mums all did pilates together and our dads recently joined some golf club which we all thought was pretty funny. As I made my way upstairs, there was a knock on the door. I could hear one of the boys were going to answer it but I still went down to see who it was. "Chris" Ethan called out as I slowly turned the corner to see Chris's mum waiting at the door.

"Hi Louisa" I said as I peered my head through the door. We all called each others mums by their first names as we were all like a happy family and had decided to not do the whole mrs thing a while back.

"Hello beautiful" Chris's mum replied, "I am just here for Chris and Jakob sweet heart, Do you think you could run and go get them for me?"

Jakob was obviously going home with Chris which I was kind of upset about but I would be seeing him in a few hours anyways and plus on the bright side I had some time to talk to Ethan alone as I hadn't had much time to do so whilst the other boys had been over. 

I nodded as I walked into the lounge room to find Chris and Jakob packing their bags.

"Thanks for letting us stay the night!" Chris said whilst picking up his half open bag.

"Anytime!" I replied as he hugged me and moved to the side to wait for Jakob who was still packing his bag.

"Come on mate, mums waiting." Chris said as Jakob quickly slipped on his shoes before hugging me and whispering softly in my ear "see you tonight." he then winked as we separated from the hug and made our way to the front door.

"Thanks darl" Chris's mum said with a smile on her face as he kissed the top of the boys heads.

"No worries! see you tonight." I replied as Ethan slowly shut the door.

"Want to attempt to make chocolate cake again?" Ethan said with a daring look on his face as the last time we tried lets just say it didn't taste like chocolate.

"Do I!" I replied giggling as we made our way to the kitchen where we got out everything and began to to make the batter.

As we were cooking we just goofed around like usually until Ethan went quite, his smile dropped and cleared his throat.

"Everything ok?" I let out as he turns away from the bench and faces me. 

"Yea everything's good but I just have to ask whats going on with Delgadoooo?" Ethan said as his smirked returned to his face.

"What about him?" I mumble letting out a little smile.

"You know what I mean Cara, you can tell me these things. You like Jakob it's pretty obvious." Ethan said as he nudged my shoulder.

"If I told you something do you promise not to tell a soul?" Ethan nodded and moved closer as he was so intrigued. "Ok we may have kissed once or twice but we haven't put a label on it yet, It's like a little fling.." I said as I quickly looked away in fear of what Ethan may reply.

"Wait when" Ethan slowly replied as I could hear the confusion in his voice.

"It doesn't matter when Ethan. I just don't know what to do now." I let out as my eyes met Ethan's gaze once again.

"If you really like him then go for it. You know that no matter what we are still going to all be friends."

I knew Ethan could tell I didn't look too sure as he pulled me into a tight hug.
