Lost In His Eyes - Jakob Delgado

Chapter 6 - Can't keep a secret

Chris cleared his throat as Jakob turned to find him staring at us in a gaze.

Jakob rubbed the back of his neck, letting out a sigh as he let himself fall back onto the bed. I stared at Chris embarrassed but just as he opened his mouth to say something serious he did the complete opposite as he began to laugh falling to floor. "So it wasn't a lie" Chris said as he wiped his tears of laughter away. My face became red as Jakob turned his head towards me, knowing I had probably told.

I felt a rush of guilt come over me and my head dropped low. Before I could even open my mouth Jakob began to whisper something under his breath.

"shit.. I knew I shoudn't have told"

"Wait did you tell someone?" I responded as confusion began to register on my face. 

"I told chris" His voice starting to fade out "sorry it was kind of in the moment, if you don't want.."

before he could finish I cut him off. "I told Ethan"

Although it was a relief that Jakob had also told, I still felt guilty.

"Wait what?"  he said raising one eyebrow at me

"it kind of just came out in conversation..." my voice was beginning to fade out as Jakob placed his hand on my thigh. 

"I don't think we are very good at hiding this"

"Neither do I" I replied slightly laughing as a big smile grew wider on Jakobs face. 

"At least they know and now I can do this in front of them" Jakob grabbed my cheek and placed his lips on mine. 

 As our lips detached I nodded and bit my lip lightly. 

It went silent for a little bit but I didn't really mind and I don't think Jakob did either as just knowing he was there  made me happy. 

I decided to lay down for  a bit as Jakob then wrapped his arm around my waist. Next thing we know someone is knocking on the door madly, I begin to get up but Jakob stops me, "I will get it."

He then opened the door to find Tahlia (Ethan's little sister) waiting with her hands behind her back as she rocked back and forth. "Cake is downstairs and mum wants you down now" she said slowly moving back from the door. 

I decided it was a good idea to go down as tomorrow mum would be yelling at me saying how rude I was to 'hide' in my room if I stayed up stairs any longer. 

I jumped up as I nudged Jakob running past him. "Beat you down there" 

"Not if I can help it" Jakob said with a slight smile appearing on his face. 

I was almost at the bottom when two arms grabbed me by my waist and pulled me back before picking me up. 

"Told you I wouldn't let you win" he smirked as he slowly put me down. 

As he pulled me in his lips then felt closer then they were before as his eyes began to close, the soft breath that escaped his lips seemed to be calling me. As I leaned my head closer, I realised a pair of eyes gazing at us. "Ethan!" I let out whilst turning my head to place it on Jakob's chest. 

"Way to ruin a moment", Jakob said as he turned his head to Ethan whilst wrapping his arms around my waist that seemed to be slowly drifting lower. 

I then grabbed his hands before he could go any further and whispered in his ear "patience" I then placed two soft kisses on his neck before walking outside. 

I could see in the corner of my eye he was biting his lip and fiddling with his fingers but I pretended as If I didn't see. Jakob then grabbed a slice of cake and we made our way to the pool area to dip our feet in. As we were sitting there I noticed some icing on the corner of Jakob's mouth, I licked my finger and began to wipe it off and as I was doing so Jakob then kissed my hand and slowly made his way up my thigh giving me goosebumps. I then leaned my head on his shoulder for a while before Jakob's mum called out. 

"Time to go Jakob." 

My head then dropped and Jakob could see I wanted him to stay longer. 

"Don't worry I will see you tomorrow" he said whilst pulling me into a tight hug and kissing my forehead. 

"I know silly! I won't miss you a bit" I said teasing Jakob as I lightly nudged his shoulder. 

"oh really" he replied smirking as he placed a soft kiss on my lips hoping the parents didn't see.  

He then stood up and offered a hand out to pull me up. "I would rather not get pulled into the pool again so I have got this" I said as we just laughed and made our way to the parents. Ethan and Chris were leaving too so I hugged them both before saying goodbye to Jakob. Jakob soon approached me and hugged me goodbye before kissing my forehead once again. We eventually made our way out to the front and waved goodbye to everyone before I made my way back inside to help clean up. 

Before I knew it clean up was done and I was already on my upstairs to get changed. I then brushed my teeth, jumped into bed  and played on my phone for a good 10 minutes. Just as I went to put my phone down a text from Ethan popped up on my screen. 

Ethan: "Just letting you know we are picking up tomorrow to take you to Jakob's :)" 

As I read the text I was a bit confused as Jakobs house was only like one street away and I could just walk but Ethan's mum would of insisted to take me as per usual. I then quickly replied and put my phone on charge before slowly falling to sleep curious as to what tomorrow has in store for me.
